Oh good. I mean, I say that having never really played the Tomb Raider games all that much before but I bought the first one of whatever the current stage of remakes is on Steam recently, is it much worth getting into?

I really really loved playing the reboot but the shitbox exclusivity really annoyed me. Like why go exclusive on the smaller platform??? That's dumb business.

I got Rise of the Tomb Raider last night in a Humble Bundle, currently about 80 minutes in and I am LOVING it :wub: I didn't even realise there was a new title coming out this year tbh but I'm definitley interested in it

That reminds me I need to actually get through Rise, I've had it for ages as I got it when it was like £7.99 on PS4 store but am yet to get through it. This new one looks incred :wub:

I haven’t even played the first one in this new trilogy (2013 release I think) actually, I remember having it but I’m pretty sure my dad played more than I did :lol: I think I remember running from a t rex on one of the PSP TR games more than the 2013 version

I loved the first one, it took an hour or two of play to get into it but it was a fab reboot!

Yeah I really enjoyed the reboot. It was a lot more gritty than the originals and showed a great "coming of age" story arc for Lara Croft that we didn't get to see properly in the originals. 'Rise' continued on from that and was much more of a continuation of the story rather than a random time in the future, which I kinda got with the PS1 classics.

 

Really looking forward to 'Shadow' but if they try and pull a version-exclusive stunt again I might just keep my money until it's cheap as chips. <_<
