March 21, 20188 yr Not gonna be getting them a hit single but this is a nice little lowkey comeback from them, I like ~
March 21, 20188 yr I'm enjoying this quite a lot on first listen, yay! Gary Lightbody's voice has definitely... matured though, he kinda reminds me of Bono on the chorus  This is word for word what I was about to say  When I first started I was like “who is singing this?” because of how different he sounds compared to ~10 years ago.
March 22, 20188 yr Not sure on this on first listen. I don't dislike it and think it'll grow. Not what I was expecting by any means anyway.
March 22, 20188 yr Author https://www.instagram.com/p/BgoLHskHBGH/? A video has been filmed for what I assume will be their next single, "A Youth Written in Fire".
March 23, 20188 yr I'd imagine that'll be the 'impact' single... because "Don't Give In" is not a hit. Though I doubt anyone was expecting Snow Patrol to score a hit in 2018 anyway. Though! It's not beyond the realms of possibilities.
April 4, 20188 yr Its great to have them back, just seen in the papers about Garys drink and drugs battle and depression, i didnt know this was the main reason for the long break. Really looking forward to their new album as i have loved all their albums so far.
April 8, 20188 yr Hopefully the new album will be if the usual standard in that acstrong album, I had hoped the new single would at least chart.
April 9, 20188 yr They are performing this on SLFN tomorrow, I can't wait! I enjoyed the performance and loving the song now. My mum was disappointed though (that was her first time hearing it) - she thought it was blah and she always liked Snow Patrol.
April 12, 20188 yr Author XqYWcp1JH7Y Surprise new release! I love this, it sounds much more like the old Snow Patrol than Don't Give In (which I also love).
April 12, 20188 yr Don't Give In ended up being such a grower, my #1 song right now this is equally amazing on 1st listen, just realised how much I've missed Snow Patrol the big gap between albums has done wonders for them, their last 2 albums (Million Suns, Fallen empires) were kinda meh except some random good song (New York, Call out in the Dark)
April 14, 20188 yr "Life On Earth" will need a few listens; it doesn't go well before "Don't Give In" in my opinion so it's odd they've gone for that ordering to kick off the album. The Bilel & Yonanne Remix of "Don't Give In" puts a different spin on the song - should sound good in the sun :)
May 3, 20188 yr Nice track. Nothing has wowed me so far from the era, however I've enjoyed all 3 tracks.
