April 6, 20188 yr It's just the term we've used here since ACR was applied, so "Wild Thoughts", "Feels" and initially "New Rules" were also 'artificial' number 1s. 'New Rules' wasn't really an artificial #1, it was legitimate in its second week.
April 6, 20188 yr So "These Days" HAS turned out to be an artificial number 1 then. I wonder if Drake would've fallen 1-3 without ACR this week, because if so this'd be the 9th week at 2 in a row for "These Days"! Exactly my thoughts
April 6, 20188 yr 'New Rules' wasn't really an artificial #1, it was legitimate in its second week. Hence why I said 'initially' :P
April 6, 20188 yr It's just the term we've used here since ACR was applied, so "Wild Thoughts", "Feels" and initially "New Rules" were also 'artificial' number 1s. Although at least "These Days" was ahead of "God''s Plan" on sales by some distance last week, as was "New Rules" ahead of "Despacito" on sales even in its first #1 week, so it''s possible to imagine a sales:streams ratio where both would have been #1 by 'legitimate' (read equal ratio) means. By contrast, the weeks when "Wild Thoughts" and "Feels" were #1 they were outsold AND outstreamed by another record, "Despacito" in both cases, so could not have made #1 by any equal ratio being applied.
