calvin/dua doing almost double than lil dickie, if it wasn't for the spotify freeze over the weekend, I'm sure they could have claimed this week's #1
The Spotify freeze just meant the charts didn't update for a couple of days, it didn't actually mean the streams didn't count for those days

It did prevent visibility on the UK Top 50 playlists since they weren't updated, which I imagine must give at least 30K streams per day to any song on it. Post Malone's "Psycho" missed out on debuting #1 in Australia (and it's still been stuck at #2 every week since) because of this.

Eh I suppose so (there's still a gap of a few thousand between them in the midweeks at the moment though and Lil Dicky is still ahead on Spotify, I doubt it'll end up close enough for that to have been a factor in it really).
Yeah I'd be surprised too, just saying that there is some tangible impact to Spotify updates being late.
Yeah I don’t think the freeze made a huge amount of difference. Maybe Calvin would have have fraction more streams for one day but that’s it. #1 could be very close in sales on Friday. I still think Dicky will nab it but Calvin has quite a lead on iTunes now and is looking to overtake on Spotify tomorrow.
we see it almost every week that when spotify does not update, songs don't get the top 50 effect

 23. Love Lies - Khalid & Normani

 36. Flames - David Guetta & Sia

 42. Answerphone (feat. Yxng Bane) - Banx & Ranx & Ella Eyre

Has everyone bought their 59p copy of Dancing? Last chance to get it the top 40 chart placing it deserves, three months after release

Have you

if only they invested 1% of what they invested in tv promo x spotify

and paid to had the song up in hothits, she'd had a t40 hit

I think Kylie AR team have plans for Spotify. She didn't so that gig for nothing..... I think the Kylie featuring Gente De Zona may well get some good playlistings

She had a pop up on the app for her album on Friday and Saturday which only huge artists usually get. That's a pretty big deal. So any plans with Spotify were probably to do with that.

sure all labels can afford to pay for a high hot hits add, cannot be that much, for instance nina nesbitt is on a small indie label I believe

and was placed as song #4 on hot hits, and that was total payola cos she has zero buzz

(no big effect, which proves that spotify users are not that retarded and can skip songs, but at least she got a top 100 entry)
