Yep looks probably a slow week so has allowed Kylie to stay top 20. lets hope she stays top 15, probably not many sales this week..... 2.5-3k?

I don't know if "staying top 20 due to a slow week" is a fair analysis, as it stayed top 10 last week despite being a really busy week.

Gaz Coombes (not Coombers) going up a place to #10 is a bit of a surprise, should be ok for a solo career best.

but lets be honest except the first week, Golden isn't selling much more than KMO

Longevity the key here.

don't think he'll quite do it this week due to the midweek release (should be top 20) but I imagine he should get there next week.

crazy that until now his only top 40 hit has been when he was a rent-a-rapper for Leona Lewis many years ago. I imagine 'Redbone' has outsold by a long way despite its #51 peak though!

Golden is doing MUCH better than Kiss Me Once and it's going to outsell it quite easily  Even taking into account the falling album market, their chart runs are very different so far:

02-08-13-17 [KMO]

01-04-06-10 [Golden]

Kiss Me Once then fell to #38 and never returned to the top 40. Golden is doing brilliantly and I think you're underplaying it!

That's why I suggest longevity is the key. They said 18 month campaign. its been 1 month and sales heading to 2-3k a week so 17 months to go needs to keep longevity which they didn't do with KMO.

However all these sales of Golden have been full price etc so they can still play with pricing, re-issues later in year, concert stuff, dvd stuff for Xmas etc, more singles, promo.

I just don't want it to fizzle out or fans get too excited because except for UK it hasn't done much to be honest. But like you say sales are low these days....

I hope that M.O can scrape the top 20 and that George Ezra and Sigala go to ACR next week

And that is quite remarkable when you think how big a name he is (obviously the acting career has helped out somewhat here).

3005 in particular sounds like it should have been an absolute mega-hit.

'3005' would probably be a reasonably sized top 20 hit now but back then streaming didn't count and he wasn't such a name. also quite impressive for him to maintain a music and acting career not many do that.
Do you know where Nines Crop Circle is? Will probably lower than it really is due to no streaming data

Golden is about 10,000 sales away from outselling Kiss Me Once.

Considering Kiss Me Once was released over 4 years ago and Golden was released 5 weeks ago, the sales more than indicate Golden is a far greater success than Kiss Me Once. With that said, as an album Golden is also far superior.

Yes

Okay, thanks to you both. Btw why did use the notation 20+3 instead of saying 23, is their a meaning to that?

to make you do a bit of quick maths :P

(was used more often back in the day when mods were more careful about revealing exact positions, just a habit now lol)
