September 19, 20186 yr Dannyboy -- Are the Top 100 Albums scored by an 'Inverse Top 100 Points System'? That's 100 Points for No.1 down to 1 Point for No.100. How did you score the Albums from the time when the Chart was much smaller than a Top 100? Such as in the 1950's and the 1960's?

How did you score the Albums from the time when the Chart was much smaller than a Top 100? September 21, 20186 yr Dannyboy -- The OCC give 'Greatest Hits' by Queen too many Chart Weeks. If you look - carefully - you will see that they have given it the 7 Week Chart Run of 'Greatest Hits I & II' from 1994. W/E 19th November 1994 -- 'Greatest Hits I & II' -- 37-40-50-43-40-39-44 They then have it falling to No.85 on W/E 7th January 1995 and rising to No.83 on W/E 14th January 1995. But, only those No.85 and No.83 Positions actually belong to 'Greatest Hits'. So 'Greatest Hits', (1981), needs to 'lose' 7 Top 100 Weeks, 7 Top 75 Weeks, and 4 Top 40 Weeks. They belong to a 1994 Double Album. Edited September 21, 20186 yr by zeus555

September 22, 20186 yr Author 2 countdowns done, 3 more to go haha Hopefully they will go quicker, the more people get involved the quicker it seems to go I’ve noticed
September 22, 20186 yr I don't own Abba Gold either but I'm glad it tops this chart rather than one of those soundtrack albums.
September 22, 20186 yr Bridge Over Troubled Water was the highest one I would choose to listen to, lovely album. Thanks for running this - although it reads like a long list of albums I somehow own but never really wanted!

January 14, 20196 yr Streaming giving all the greatest hits sets a big boost then. I'm still not too keen on streaming propping up GHs but it's not like most of them were selling nothing before streaming anyhow.
January 14, 20196 yr Author Streaming giving all the greatest hits sets a big boost then. I'm still not too keen on streaming propping up GHs but it's not like most of them were selling nothing before streaming anyhow. From what I can remember they were still in the top 100 prior to streaming but yeah not as many of them and certainly not as high
January 15, 20196 yr Amazed at how far the first 2 Ed Sheeran albums are ahead of '21'! They obviously haven't sold quite as much but must have accumulated their sales over a longer time period.
January 15, 20196 yr Author Ed Sheeran will be making an impact very soon, I generally only look at an albums points once it’s been in the chart for 100 weeks
