I’m a bit surprised the Beatles ‘red’ compilation did so much better than the one for their later years which was released at the same time, but they were the first Beatles albums I owned - this was before ‘1’ existed which takes all the sales these days.

IIRC 'Bad' wasn't able to chart for a while after his death because it was on the budget chart or something - it probably would have had quite a few extra weeks in the top 10 had it been eligible.

when you think about it, the budget album chart make no sense when albums ae charting cos of streaming and some of those cos of free streaming

Jagged Little Pill is a fantastic album, so many classic tracks on there.

Nightblindness is my favourite track on the album!

I guess the tracks which became singles were thought to be more radio friendly.

 

(Jagged Little Pill is also in my collection.)

Also I love the Beach Boys, but they have literally dozens of best of albums, and I own a different one.

crazy that You oughtta know missed the top 20, and Ironic peaking at #11 is a travesty too
