I thought Mamma Mia would be headed straight for number 1with ease, it is disappointing to see it behind the Greatest Showman which will likely make 1 million this week.

Rick Astley, will open on decent sales and achieve another Top 5 album, it would be wonderful if he can stay Top 3.

And on 80's acts, Five Star showing on the chart is a wonderful surprise although they will no doubt leave the chart by Friday.

FYI, The Vamps sold under 500 copies yesterday whilst Drake sold over 5,000 copies. :D

I was hoping they would get it but I take it there is no chance?

The 2nd 'Mamma Mia!' Film has its UK Premiere, in London, tonight.

It will not be released nation-wide until Friday - 20th July. (Which is when it will be released

in most other Countries too).

The Soundtrack is currently the 2nd biggest Album in European iTunes and the 1st biggest

Album in World iTunes. This is even before the Film is released.

It has several ABBA Songs on it that will be new to a lot of people. They will want to see

the Film before they buy the Soundtrack.

I was not expecting big UK Sales from it until the Film is released.

Its entry at No.5 is to be expected.

Even 'The Greatest Showman' only entered at No.39. Then it jumped to No.4. it has been No.1

for 21 Weeks, since. More and more people bought it when they saw the Film.

I was hoping they would get it but I take it there is no chance?

Even Rick Astley sold 885 copies yesterday. I think the Vamps are going to drop to #5 or even lower, TGS will probably end up at #2, George #3, Mamma Mia #4

So if this is a re-entry, is it possible that The Vamps can beat their record of the fastest fall from #1 with the same album that currently holds it?
Fun fact: That happened to Bon Jovi in the US with their last album (dropping from #1 to #43, a record at the time, then later re-entering at #1 and dropping to #127, although they hadn't held the record for the entire time in between). Would be amusing if the same thing happened to The Vamps on this chart, but it seems more likely that Drake will be #1. Oh well :P
Wow, I understimated how frontloaded The Vamps were - looks like they won't be #1 anyway indeed then :P maybe it could drop from the top 10 to outside the top 100 or something though which would still be amusing. x

I doubt it. I know The Vamps is frontloaded but 22k so far is more than most albums are selling in a week. That's more than Years & Years did in total last week, for example.

Metal band Bury Tomorrow number 11 ! Love their new album

I can see the Years and Years album falling fast and i don't just refer to this week.

It is a surprise to see the Vamps already outselling what Years and Years did for the whole of last week and that is with The Vamps having a reasonable size Top 10 hit at the moment.

If Rick Astley lines up some promotion he should easily achieve another Gold selling album at the least.

Lol where did The vamps come from, didn't realise they were still around! Must be summer hols soon with them releasing!!
He already had 2 top 10 hits before this one (not to mention 'Adagio For Strings' which is much better known than its peak indicates) :P

we all know that red lights is his major and only hit around the world

Drake sold 29k last week, I expect something similar or a bit better this week (as the physical release is out). Should be enough for #1 if Rick Astley or Mamma Mia 2 don't suddenly surge.
