August 5, 20188 yr Author Brilliant gold medal for Ethan Hayter in the Omnium at the Europeans. What an exciting young talent. I was particularly impressed with the way he rode the Points Race.
August 7, 20188 yr Author Gold!!! for Matt Walls in the men's elimination! Very mature ride for a debutant up against some well-established riders!

August 7, 20188 yr Looks like it's been golds galore today actually! :o Scott's gold in the pool was unexpected but great as well.
August 8, 20188 yr Author Absolute brilliance from Asher-Smith in the 100m, 10.85 equalling the fastest time this year. It was a sprint double with Zhanal Hughes winning in 9.95 and Reece Percod getting silver.
August 8, 20188 yr Author So everyone on course in the Men's cycling Time Trial, and Grace Reid & Ross Haslam going for GB in the 3m Synchro Springboard Diving.
August 8, 20188 yr I saw both 100m finals last night. Great to see Dina Asher-Smith win the gold medal, she is always so bubbly in her interviews and Zharnel Hughes has partly made up for his disqualification at the Commonwealth Games.

August 9, 20188 yr Onto cycling now - hope to catch the elimination gold, always love that event. Watched this on iPlayer - the way riders were just completely falling away in the later sprints showed the quality on show there. Congrats to Walls.
August 10, 20188 yr Author It will be about the javelin for Johnson-Thompson for her chances of gold in the heptathlon.
August 10, 20188 yr Author After a successful long jump, Johnson-Thompson leads Thiem by 113 points going into the javelin.
August 10, 20188 yr Author Nathan Douglas in a likely Q position in the Triple Jump- blimey, did not know he was still going.
August 11, 20188 yr The commentators were a bit early celebrating Alicia Blagg's victory in the diving there, Grace Reid has just snatched it from under her nose! Can't complain about a GB 1/2 though :P
August 11, 20188 yr Author Jakob Ingebrigtsen, 17, remember the name has just done the 1500 + 5000m double in less than 24 hours.
August 12, 20188 yr Poor Salpeter there, thinking that she was on the final lap and burning herself out too early. Congrats to McColgan on the silver though.
