October 28, 20186 yr I really can't see past an Ashley/Faye/Stacey/Joe final at this point with Danny potentially knocking one of those ones out in the quarter/semi final (probably Joe if he can get shennaniganed out if the powers that be think that he's too much of a public vote winning risk).
October 28, 20186 yr I hate to be the one to say over or undermarked as they've become awful buzz words for people who have no idea what they're on about (which I don't either tbf lmao) but NINE for Danny's American Smooth? There's something that leaves me so cold when he dances a majority of the time, especially with slower ballroom dances. Out of the ones I didn't comment on already, Joe really impressed me and felt like a breakthrough! It really seemed like he was a one trick pony and unluckily for him his trick was wrung out weeks 1 and 2 having a Jive and Charleston so early, but showed he can come out of his comfort zone. I wouldn't rule him out of the win to be honest, it feels like Stacey's to lose atm with Faye and Ashley as Alexandra/Debbie, although neither of those two seems to be taking as much heat as Alex/Debbie so I wouldn't necessarily count them out, it's great to have a race to the crown again!
October 28, 20186 yr About time re: that result! They were very lucky to be ridiculously overmarked for their Charleston the week it all came out tbh but there was no question they should've gone this week.
October 30, 20186 yr Author This weeks songs/dances • Ashley and Pasha Foxtrot to 'Orange Coloured Sky' by Natalie Cole • Charles and Karen Viennese Waltz to 'Piano Man' by Billy Joel • Danny and Amy Quickstep to 'Freedom' by Pharrell Williams • Dr Ranj and Janette Samba to 'Freedom 90' by George Michael • Faye and Giovanni Tango to 'Call Me' by Blondie • Graeme and Oti Waltz to 'The Last Waltz' by Engelbert Humperdinck • Joe and Dianne Paso Doble to 'Pompeii' by Bastille • Kate and Aljaz Argentine Tango to 'Assassin’s Tango' by John Powell • Lauren and AJ Jive to 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne • Stacey and Kevin Couples Choice' (Street and Commercial) to 'Empire State Of Mind (Part II') by Alicia Keys
October 30, 20186 yr Inb4 Danny gets ridiculously overmarked again and told how much energy he has for his age  Street for Stacey's couples choice is interesting, I could see her doing a great high energy jazz/broadway routine so I was kinda expecting that I'm sure she'll slay anyway, especially as Kevin always choreographs so well to bring out her strengths. Oh dear at Kate of all people getting the first AT though
November 3, 20186 yr I'm SO hoping for Danny to do an Aston! I assume that his actual routine is much better than 22 though and the mistakes just threw him off so he'd boss a dance off, could see it being him and Kate. Stacey's street was incredible with the mix of street and some contemporary as well as some old Hollywood vibes, really expressive and fluid and I just loved it, her best so far for me, I wish it nabbed at least one 10. Faye could've easily got a 40 but the cube really ruined it for me, Craig was spot on. I mean they were basically just spinning round in the cube
November 4, 20186 yr Thought Ranj was better in the dance-off tbh oops, and I think he's just more fun and entertaining to watch. Other than the brilliant Street routine, he's really failed to connect or impress me and the partnership with Karen is just so off. He probably has more ability but eh, I feel like Ranj just had that fun factor and watchability and likeability. Ashley's got contemporary next week so I'm pretty sure that's a 40 for her barring a disaster  I'm pretty sure that's what she's trained in? Tbh I'm not *so* fussed as she's a brilliant dancer who I love watching and that's what the show is, but it is a tad unfair. I'm just gagging for Stacey doing a character filled Charleston more than anything tbh.
November 5, 20186 yr finally got to see all the dances! tbh not that bothered about the elimination. idk what happened in the dance off but while Ranj was decent, I completely forgot about it ten seconds into the next dance. Lauren’s dance was surprisingly good albeit a bit repetitive, and Joe’s was another dance that exceeded expectations. Stacey’s was exactly what I expected (Broadway-esque) but she killed it nonetheless. At this point Ashley and Faye really need to dazzle or they’re gonna fall to the wayside in votes. As for the worst, I thought Danny’s quickstep was not quick at all and Aljaz carried Kate through that entire dance like he’s been carrying her through the season. Other than the brilliant Street routine, he's really failed to connect or impress me and the partnership with Karen is just so off.this is probably the reason why charles keeps falling into the bottom 2 despite good dances. ZERO VOTES. it’s total Alexis ren teas minus the showmance speaking of which, would joe and Dianne get into a showmance? All the joe stans in the youtube live chat keep screaming about one but I don’t think it’s gonna happen
November 5, 20186 yr speaking of which, would joe and Dianne get into a showmance? All the joe stans in the youtube live chat keep screaming about one but I don’t think it’s gonna happen I assumed Joe was gay so I couldn't see it (that's just my gaydar rather than anything else). So I doubt they would. They seem more like friends to me. Definitely going to be either Stacey or Joe that takes the win though as the best of the non-dancers. Faye and Ashley are great... but ringers rarely win
November 5, 20186 yr 100% either Faye or Ashley are gonna be the shock elimination, I can see them falling into the dance-off with each other and obviously that forces one of them to go. That or Danny/Stacey/Joe lands with them, and has a better dance that week and stays. I mean Stacey is within touching distance of catching up to them, I could easily see her getting 38/39 or even 40 with a character driven Charleston, and Joe is really improving although I think he still has a bit to go. In say 3 or 4 weeks time, it's not unreasonable to imagine one of them doing a Pixie Lott, especially when it's so close this year. I hope Joe doesn't win, I just don't find him as captivating to watch as Stacey, she's just a joy and easily makes up for not being as technically good as Ashley or Faye with that. She's exactly what Strictly is about, someone who's really enjoying their time on the show and improving so much, I mean look at her Cha-Cha-Cha or Quickstep compared to her Tango last week or her Street this week. I think she can easily do it too, I can see her catching up to Faye and Ashley potentially given a couple of weeks, and she's super likeable and real rather than being an untouchable "ringer" who people seem to put off by. It's the same reason her documentaries are so successful, she's like your best mate from school who's always lived round the corner doing this huge show and having the time of her life with it, bringing you right along with her. Joe is definitely enjoying it too and is enthusiastic, having fun, and seems to have a great relationship with Diane, but I just don't enjoy watching him as much as I do Stacey, Ashley or Faye. I don't think he's on the same level either, he attacks every dance and gives it his all, but I feel like there's always something missing, like his Paso didn't have that intensity or drama, his Cha-Cha-Cha and Waltz were both super boring, idk he's just not fully there for me, whereas Joe last year *was* and I didn't so much mind him winning over Alexandra and Debbie.

November 8, 20186 yr I hope Danny goes this weekend: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/76957...g-bullying-amy/ Shocking to hear.
November 8, 20186 yr I'm hasty to believe The Sun but I've always felt there was something off about him :/ I just really can't take to him. I can imagine he's got used to being a frontunner and hasn't liked having a bad week, his first one really. HOWLING if he genuinely said he was on another level to the others, whether he meant dancing or as a celebrity that's absolutely laughable. He was the only one I hadn't heard of, I know that's subjective though.
November 9, 20186 yr He said the rest were celebrities but he was an entertainer:’) he also said he never spoke to the others after the show.
November 10, 20186 yr http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/strictly-come...e-hits-out-bbc/ Sorry but what does the BBC have to do with the papers supposedly printing shit? From It Takes Two it seems like they overexaggerated but there was tension between him and Amy, but she even said he didn't bully her. I imagine he really didn't like being bottom of the scoreboard for the first time and maybe had a bit of a short temper, on top of training being gruelling as always. What more could the BBC do than let Amy say he wasn't acting as the papers said?
