Okay quick rundown:

 

First of all I’m SO GLAD that the Strictly YouTube channel has all of the live dances in a livestream :P

 

• Danny and Amy was a nice surprise! He’s light on his feet and did pretty well even though there were parts that were clunky.

• Kate’s and Seann’s dances... HOT MESS. Kate just felt uncomfortable during the entire thing. She’s lucky Aljaž is hot af bc he SAVED that dance. I’m getting Terrell Owens vibes from Seann, he’s probably gonna look like such a tryhard during the first four weeks but then chuck out a stellar dance halfway when the GP is tired of him.

• Susannah’s dance wasn’t as much of a hot mess as Kate or Seann but the biggest problem I had with it was that it was way too gimmicky and she got lost in the props. I spent 30 seconds of that dance paying attention to whether they would notice the maracas on their mark. Did it really deserve a 1 though? It just felt like a “can I give a zero” moment was thrown for shock value lmao

• Vick had nice energy... and barely any jive content. Same with Katie & Gorka but theirs was incredibly forgettable, butnin their defense I recognize that English waltzes aren’t really my thing, I just find them extremely boring.

• Definitely agree with Ashley and Faye being the best of the night. Joe surprised me as well (although I think Bethany Mota pulled off the youtube intro motif better)

No offense to Vick but you'd think if they had to cast someone no one's heard of they'd at least be a good dancer :lol:

Oddly she's still joint 2nd fave to win despite a disaster :lol: Capital FM huge fanbase come thru xx

It'll probably be one of Seann, Susannah, Katie or Vick really...

 

Susannah has the Anton advantage/ possibly comedy vote. Katie just seems to be swallowed up by the show and nerves. Plus she has a paso this week too. Vick is a bit of a unknown celeb and wasn't great at the weekend. Seann, I really like but I can see him being in danger.

 

Also wouldn't rule out Lee either tbh

Am I the only one who thinks Shirley is really rude this season, cannot take to her at all :drama:

 

I think Katie could be going out which would be a real shame, she's lovely and needs time but in a series this strong, she might not have time :( It wasn't great timing for her to have a Paso, one of the hardest dances imo. Susannah won't be bottom 2, she has Anton and the comically shit ones are always fine for a few weeks, obviously depends how the rest of the night goes but I can see Katie joining Seann, Lee or Vick in the bottom 2.

I can’t see Katie being in the bottom for a few weeks, this sounds awful but I think she’ll get a big ‘sympathy’ vote, for want of a better term obviously. Vick is certainly in the bottom imo, probably with Sean as I can’t see him appealing to the average SCD viewer much. Shirley is a queen x

I can definitely see Seann or Katie going, as I said Susannah will be fine becasue she's the worst and has Anton, it's the ones who are in the lower scoreboard slots but not dead last who are in more danger I feel. Katie might get "sympathy" (wrong word I agree, like she's just a nice person you can root for and you want her to be better, I can see her getting there given a chance) but I can't see who else will join them as Lee and Vick were other candidates but both stepped it up, particularly the latter :wub:

 

Faye was my favourite tonight though, she really nailed the drama and elegance of the Viennese Waltz <3

The thing is Susannah isn't funny bad, she is just terrible. I feel like Seann may get the funny-bad edit.

 

I think Susannah will be in the bottom. Possibly with Lee as I forgot he danced until I saw Duncan from Blue discussing him.

I mean Vick's in the danger zone and is a woman of colour with a new pro so I'm not optimistic! I think she's going to beat just about anyone else she'd realistically end up in the dance off with tonight's waltz though.

 

I don't think even Anton can save Susannah to be honest!

I'm hoping I'm overestimating Anton because I agree Susannah was just bad, like legit she was WALKING across the dancefloor today :lol: She doesn't come across as particularly likeable at all either, whereas with say Ruth last year she just seemed to be having fun, getting better and getting right into it and you kind of wanted to see her again each week. Strictly is about that, even if someone isn't getting 30+ each week, it's great to watch people you like growing and enjoying it and learning and I can't see any of that from Susannah. In fact she was even worse this time!

Ruth was at least likeable and had rhythm. She also showed improvement week on week until she peaked.

Definitely agree that Susannah’s dance was much worse than last week’s. It took too long to get started, she was boring and lifeless, and I saw almost no passion in that performance. In complete contrast, Kate (who I thought was the worst last week) managed to improve to the middle of the pack.

 

Katie’s paso was pretty much another version of this dance

 

 

Best in order: Faye/Charles/Ashley/Joe

Ashley and Faye were my favourites of the night! Actually really liked Joe's performance too! Most improved defo goes to Vicki!
