It is hard to call.

While sales are down on Golden in comparison to Aphrodite you could argue sales have increased greatly from Kiss Me Once to Golden.

Promotion and choice of single do have a big part in the success story in addition to delivering music that the fans and general public want.

Totally agree - even though ‘Golden’ has ‘only’ sold around 20k more than KMO has so far it felt as though KMO passed the majority of people by whereas there is a lot more awareness of ‘Golden’.
