Everyone prepare yourselves for more Ed Sheeran domination because he's apparently releasing new music next year, supposedly it will be "experimental", similarly to his No. 5 Collaborations Project EP from 2011, and as such it won't be his actual fourth album but something to fill the gap.

Oh and he wants to do a song with Drake. I can already hear the collective groans of the whole of Buzzjack as that song effortlessly spends 9 weeks at #1.

I enjoy Ed, however, i was positive Divide would get a re-release in this coming quarter.

Thought he would be releasing his next album in 2020 titled -

Think he's going to wait a good few years before dropping Minus, he's supposedly been working on that for ages anyway as he wants it to be the greatest album ever or something.

"Chart Killers"- Ed Sheeran and Drake teaming up. Not even ACR or Jess Glynne could stop that being number 1 for at least 6 months.

He's got a long way to go to achieve that, "Divide" got mostly poor reviews.

Poor reviews but absolutely massive sales. I think he's trying to impress the general public rather than the critics.

Yeah, no doubt no matter how 'experimental' his next era is it'll still be fine-tuned enough to go to #1 and get hammered by the radio

He’d better find someone better to record it then.

Well I'm here for a 2019 update of the No. 5 Collaborations Project EP, that was my first introduction to Sheeran and I really rate it. Would like to see him collaborate with UK acts though vs. US rappers - I have a feeling he will so long as the label don't have too much direction in this 'experimental' release.

Hopefully there will be some interesting up and coming or lesser known artists on this, not just other huge stars.

No.5 Collaborations Project was actually really interesting, with loads of UK rap and grime artists, I remember enjoying it a lot at the time it came out (which was maybe 8-9 months before The A Team blew up) but I imagine this will be a far more mainstream exercise. Would love to be surprised though.

The OP of this thread describing this as 'experimental' is kind of hilarious in retrospect after the lead single was... about as far from experimental as you can get.

This seems to be full album length so I'm guessing it is his 4th album after all? Unless it's marketed as a 'mixtape' or something

I think it would be called Subtract instead of minus

They're calling it an EP... despite being the length of an album. I don't think it's meant to serve as his 4th album.

A 15 track EP. That term has really lost all meaning...

'Antisocial' is with Travis Scott, the song already leaked a while ago apparently.
