New EP from AlunaGeorge called Champagne Eyes, which will be released on October 5. It's preceded by "Superior Emotion", which came out this Friday.

Hype. Please be amazing. Turn Up The Love was a bit of a non-event.

Omg I wasn't confident they'd get a third album era after #2 crashed and burned despite being imo far superior to their overstuffed and samey debut. Short and sweet with good variety it was. Hyped for this :D

I loved both eras but the second was definitely stronger for me, that should’ve been huge.

And you just can’t deny that voice 👌🏼

AG are super talented and should be much bigger than they are

sad that their only big hit has been White noise but never had a big hit with a proper single of theirs

I was sure I’m in Control would smash, it really should have

and Attracting flies did pretty well but that was #1 material imho

The track features Cautious Clay and it seems that it's a self-release.

'Supernatural' is the one of theirs that truly deserved so much more.

They have announced on their social media accounts that a new EP called Champagne Eyes will be out on October 5.

Aluna confirmed that they parted ways with Island, so they are independent now.

‘I’m in Control’ was one of my favourite songs from that year. It really should’ve done better.

The music video of "Superior Emotion" was premiered by The FADER today.

 

 

Aluna said the following about the music video:

"I really wanted to work with a female director who understood how to mix satire and beauty to really tell the story of this song. In the same way, having really got to know Cautious I felt like he would perfectly capture the object of my unrequited affection with his incredible voice and nuanced lyrics."
