I'm not denying it, I think it's common knowledge that it's a huge factor in how things do. I'm just saying the song actually has to be popular too, the way you worded it was as if to say the song would not be doing well at all without HHUK.

RE whats been discussed previously. People could just skip past Loud Luxury of they're not interested so people must be intrigued somewhat to continue to listen to it so it's placing is deserved :)

I don’t know if I agree with this. It’s chart friendly, yes. But there’s some beautiful flourishes on the production and her vocals sound warmer and more emotive than I think I’ve heard before from her.

 

(I know I’m a Stan but I certainly wouldn’t have said anything like this about Girls)

Loud Luxury has addressed it on Twitter stating it's their signature sound which there's nothing wrong with for so long. It worked for a period of time for the likes of Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens... I'm sure they'll switch it up at some point.

They wouldn't want to become a one-hit wonder would they? I don't blame them for trying a similar formula again for now at least.

At least Loud Luxury aren't making basic as hell dance-pop songs that blend into everything else in the chart like Guetta, Garrix*, Zedd, etc. Their style is a refreshing take on commercial dance in 2018 and I'm glad they're doing well.

 

* at least Garrix does do some actual dance songs too (High On Life, Burn Out) but those ones never get a chart push anymore, same with Guetta (well, Like I Do was a hit but that is the exception here)
