Surprisingly low for 'Killshot', guess it won't be going near #1 after all (especially as it's already off #1 on iTunes as well).

Indeed, I am very surprised that Killshot has been performing much better on iTunes than it has on Spotify!

That and the fact it did so well on YouTube (broke the record for most views in the first day / week (?) for a hip-hop song I believe). I see 'RAP DEVIL' is doing much worse on Spotify than YouTube as well though.

Yes, Killshot had the most views for a hip-hop song in the first 24 hours with 38.1 million, and the third most views in the first 24 hours for any song!

For perspective, Kanye West & Lil Pump's video had just 13.9 million views in the first 24 hours!

Part of it might be because it took so long to get to Spotify, and then went on there with no fanfare. It's possible that it will climb slowly as more people discover that it's available (though Spotify leaving it off of Today's Top Hits & RapCaviar's latest update won't help that), but it's also possible that everyone who already heard it on YouTube doesn't feel the need to keep hearing it. There might even be a psychological aspect to it where diss tracks aren't treated as typical tracks to be put on personal playlists to replay because there's no precedent for it (the track sounding a bit rushed doesn't help either).

oh very good for Mumfords
I expect to see September by Earth, Wind & Fire re-entering somewhere in the Spotify chart today

...I was right, it re-enters at number 64!

BROCKHAMPTON have nine entries, the highest being J'OUVERT at #89, then NEW ORLEANS at #97. They also appear at #128, #133, #137, #160, #166, #168 and #172
Ooh nice for BROCKHAMPTON! Their last album only had 1 entry in the US/Canada top 200 on release, and I feel they don't have the same typical fanbase as most hip hop that's big on Spotify. BROCKHAMPTON taking over :cheer:

Elsewhere, they made it to #126 in the global chart today (#52 in the USA, #76 in Australia)

can someone please do a proper update instead of people posting random positions, travelling and cannot check Spotify myself :/
Amazing for BROCKHAMPTON, I didn't expect them to have any songs in the top 200.

BROCKHAMPTON

89. J'ouvert

97. New Orleans

128. Thug Life

133. Berlin

137. Weight

160. District

166. Where The Cash At

168. Honey

172. Something About Him

Weird to see no "TONYA" and "TAPE" there, they're probably the most accessible tracks on the album. "J'OUVERT" on the other hand :heehee:

"J'ouvert" was on New Music Friday, which explains it being the highest. The other charting songs are the first 7 tracks of the album (and "Honey") so I think it's mostly a case of quite a few people listening to the album in order and giving up half way through. It usually happens with new albums that the tracks higher up on the tracklist (or on playlists) chart the highest initially for this reason.

:o I don't recall BROCKHAMPTON ever making the top 200 let alone the top 100 with any of their previous songs? That's a really great showing for them! (I am surprised that 'TONYA' isn't one of the top tracks as well though, although it being the second to last song on the tracklist is probably not helping). Bodes well for the album hopefully getting a decent chart position, and in my dreams 'J'OUVERT' could make the singles chart top 100? Doubt these tracks will hold up that well tho.

That's not a bad start for Mumford & Sons as well, I think their singles chart relevance is probably in the past, 'Guiding Light' even going top 40 will be pretty good. Good comeback from them, sounds more like The Maccabees than Mumford & Sons though

Time for another round of 'what will Radio 1 do when XXXTENTACION is in the top 10' it looks like.

I was wondering why J'ouvert was highest in the UK while New Orleans was highest everywhere else, that's why!

Glad promises has got back above Kanye. Not even a fan of the song, I just don’t want Kanye at the top. Would be the worst #1 of the year if it got there :puke2:
