Post malone was already on HH since last Fri

He is actually semiflopping by his standards, only @10 :)

Think Gaga will do it easily this week, stream figures are quite low

And very similar, with streams so low, itunes will be decissive and there

Gaga is slaying, double than Calvin, almost 10 times more than Dave

No competition really, maybe Bastille are her bigger competition

I think it being top 10 on iTunes has had a massive impact too, people will be more curious but course that's due to X Factor.

Sunflower is a nice little tune for a cartoon movie. I think it's performing how you'd expect.

Big jump for Halsey!

It's not even on Hot Hits but,

:ne: 194 I Want You to Freak by Rak-Su

"X Factor has no effect anymore"

I believe this must be down to it appearing on some other Spotify playlist, than X-Factor?

I've noticed Rak-Su are on The Pop List

Maybe it was already just floating around the 200-220 area and X Factor gave it the extra few hundred streams it needed to sneak in. I would imagine it could have been around that area by itself, without any major playlist leg up.
They've been on The Pop list for like 2 weeks though? Are you telling me, with the song rising on iTunes all day due to X Factor, none of viewers who prefer Spotify would have helped the song's streams afterwards? It's not a major win for them to be at the bottom of Spotify, but songs can do well before playlist support sometimes.

Rak-Su still not being on Hot Hits is pretty bizarre. It's like they're not even trying to push them (aside from giving them an XF performance) despite them being the most easily marketable act X Factor has produced for quite a while.

The Post/Swae song is doing fine, soundtrack singles often don't do as well as you'd expect from the artist names on them. It's doing way better than, for example, 'All The Stars' did in its first week.

Speaking of soundtracks, great to see 'Always Remember Us This Way' is starting to take off more, helped out a bit by cracking the top 50 yesterday for the first time I guess!

I think it's more than likely. Are there any other playlists it features on?

Playlists impact Spotify a lot but I don't think we can put every single movement down to playlists. People still search for songs, and not enough credit is being given for that. Surely it makes sense that people would search Rak-Su after the performance, no? It's had a big impact on iTunes, I don't believe that there aren't numerous people who decided to listen to it of their own accord on Spotify instead.

I just checked on Spoton Track and nothing it hasn't been on for almost 3 weeks.

(The song remains pretty terrible. Sugababes outsold)

I agree the song is terrible, but I'm impressed by that. It seemed too good to be true that enough independent-thinking users could propel a song into the top 200, I'd like to see it happen more often.
I don't think Bring Me The Horizon's new song featuring the singer from Cradle of Filth was on any mainstream playlist either and that's gone in higher!

Unrelated, but I really like it when people from bands go solo and use part of the band's name:

Dani Filth, Jamie xx, Andy Black, Chris Motionless, etc.

(and Panic! at the Disco took it a step further and just used the whole band's name :P )

Syco has to send the Rak-su check for HH, maybe they forgot :D

but the Little Mix check arrived and now they've been moved to track #2 on HH

Shallow still too low on HH, moved to track #21 right now, good they also added a second track from the soundtrack today

YASSS at the climb for Ava and Little Mix  Now for both to keep going please!

21 is better than 40!
