Posted September 13, 20186 yr FQgAIXJr4H4 A new reality show from Channel 4 presented by Maya Jama and Alice Levine, a bit like a realised episode of Black Mirror! It features people living in apartments on their own, but the only way they interact with each other is through social media, so the game I suppose is constructing yourself properly and putting yourself across in a way that others like and want to be around. As a psychology graduate I'm really interested in things like this, especially as social media is really changing the way that we interact with others, process things and react to things, so I'm definitely going to give this a look. I think it's got real potential as a reality game show format, it'll be interesting to see how people twist their lives and present themselves in this setting where they can filter out anything they want and only put forward their best self, who'll be themselves and who will make up a totally fake persona and perhaps risk things a bit.
September 13, 20186 yr I've seen the advert loads of times, but I have no idea what it's actually like. :P
September 13, 20186 yr I'm interested in seeing this. Plus two presenters I love are presenting it *.*
September 13, 20186 yr This looks intriguing! Great to see Alice Levine getting higher profile presenting gig. However, not sure I’ll get the chance to watch with Big Brother!
September 13, 20186 yr I had read a few things about this show and decided i will be giving it a look to see if it is worth following.
September 14, 20186 yr It low key sounds like watching a Twitter Big Brother game. I don't know if it'll be that interesting personally.
September 14, 20186 yr Author Omg those Twitter Big Brother things are the most tragic things ever, it can't be THAT bad :kink:
September 18, 20186 yr Author Me too, as a psych grad I'm really interested in the ways people are using social media differently to face to face interactions and how it is changing how we interact, it's a really interesting way to go about a new reality property in 2018. The way they haven't revealed a lot about it other than the vague premise is really intriguing, I have no idea how it's going to work but I kinda love that we're going into the launch of this more or less blind other than knowing the contestants. It's a shame it clashes with BB season but I'll just watch it on +1 on those days!
September 18, 20186 yr Might give this a watch. They’ve released the contestants taking part and turns out I know one of them  Edited September 18, 20186 yr by Connor.
September 18, 20186 yr What's this like then? TV is being hogged by football atm so I can't watch, but Twitter doesn't sound very impressed by it all?
September 18, 20186 yr Author Jury's out for me, I love the concept and the contestants are all interesting but I really struggle to see how it's going to hold up being on every night for 3 weeks. With BB or Love Island for example they can just do a task if not much is going on and that fuels things until the next elimination, they are going to give each other ratings though now and Maya and Alice just said if someone gets "blocked" (ie voted off) then others go in so I guess that keeps things fresh. I think it might take a few days to kick off before people start arguing and trying to figure each other out and pick holes in who might be fake, that's when it'll be really interesting. Stanning Genelle bringing her baby *.*
September 18, 20186 yr I am most interested in the guy who is pretending to be his gf. Interested in how he can remain safe.
September 18, 20186 yr I am most interested in the guy who is pretending to be his gf. Interested in how he can remain safe. Me too! He seems very clever.
September 18, 20186 yr Author I have 0 idea what's going on but I'm kinda hooked because of that! The ones who are actually playing it are making it so interesting.
September 18, 20186 yr Jennifer literally strikes me as over the top Facebook mum. She's going to be gone first, calling it now.
