It doesn't really do better than expectation.. it just didn't have a peak week to get a better chart placement. It will soon cross 100.000 sales which was an expectation from me as a come back single. However selling 20k in its peak week yes, reaching 100k mark after 1 month wasn't expected.

 

my secret hope is for this to become silver in the upcoming months. it needs 200.000. what do u guys think?

This has far exceeded expectations I'd say.

 

Majority of people were expecting a chart run of 16-67-out in this day and age for an act like Westlife. The fact they're looking at another week top 30... great going for them.

 

The only people that expected more were their fans in the 2000's who have no clue with how the charts have changed now.

 

This single has set them up for a massive album I feel. It's great going for them.

 

Edit: sorry, I think I've misread your post lol. But I'd say this can def reach silver? I'm sure Jay could comment on that as he's a lot more experienced in sales side of things for the charts haha.

Do we have the figures of download sales and streaming equivalent sales for the past few weeks?

Oh yes, this has far exceeded expectations, for sure! Expecting a very high position in today's industry for an act like Westlife is completely unrealistic if you as me, peaking at #13 is an excellent result. And I'm sure majority expected the song to drop out of top 40 in its 2nd week. Heck, I even saw a comment saying they should be lucky to even reach Top 40.

Yes, they released it digitally on Thursday and physical on Friday during the first week.

Top 25 is very safe and this is still a strong outcome for them at this stage of the release.

What is this show Mrs. Brown? Will they perform the single there or is it just an interview?

On All Round to Mrs Brown's the music guests have a chat with Mrs Brown before performing in the 'pub'.

 

Sadly on the DVD releases they cut the actual performances out!

Not to jinx it, but they seem pretty safe to remain Top 20. In today's mids they're 1k ahead of #21. Last Thursday they were only 200 ahead of #21, so there's a lot more leeway.
