I remember listening to it for the first time and thinking "good song but I don't think it's a hit and I don't think I'll return to it a lot tbqh"

...oh at it becoming a worldwide smash hit phenomenon and becoming one of my most played Gaga songs.

I had a crush on this from the start but when I saw the film I was 100% sure it'd be a classic. So clever use in the movie!

I love how even her label didn't expect this to be the smash hit from ASIB. From everything I've read they thought it was gonna be I'll Never Love Again!

I wonder if Gaga was shocked with how huge it became

"Shallow" has now spent an entire year on the UK Singles Chart. It's Gaga's fifth song to achieve this.

So her career's back to normal after Born This Way, Artpop and Joanne!!

It will just overtake JD in chart weeks before xmas songs take over.

#54 on Spotify globally but over 1.4M which is one of its best days in recent times, since 6th of September to be exact.

Still shocked a ballad DID THAT!

#49 on Spotify globally after smashing for a year already! OMG OMG WHAT A SMASH CAN'T EVEN COPE!!!!!

I bet in a few weeks it'll be higher than Don't Call Me Angel and almost every female pop song released this year!
