Released a couple of days ago was this fantastic mash-up of 'Imagine' and 'What a Wonderful World'. Both are such famous songs but Barbra totally makes them her own. I adore the narrative that is presented by combining the two songs, with 'What a Wonderful World' being the ideal world that 'Imagine' refers to. Barbra gives an emotional performance; it feels so genuine, as if she's having a conversation with you.

Wow that Don't lie to me song and video is so powerful! Her voice is beautiful as always.

That cover is stunning, they're two songs you probably shouldn't touch so of course goes nah f*** that and she smashes both of them! She's absolutely a once in a lifetime talent, she might mostly do covers but she interprets songs in such a way of her own that nobody else could do, it's magical :wub:

Lovely album, she piles so much emotion and feeling into every song and it's all so needed. It's very much a Trump protest album, which totally works because she's got such a genuine feeling of care to her voice, she is really willing to spread this message and not back down. It's beautifully orchestrated too, so despite being quite hard hitting and political, it's still got that perfect soaring feel that lets her voice do all the talking and compliments it perfectly. I'm not sure I'd rush back and listen to it all but she definitely has something to say, and The Rain Will Fall is SO good, it feels like a slightly re-tooled Adele hit :lol: That, Don't Lie To Me and Imagine/What A Wonderful World are the huge keepers here <3 Happy Days Are Here Again being the closer gives some hope too, which is also sorely needed in a world of Trumps, Putins and Mays....
