Slow Down is much better but I'm a bit dissapointed too. It's enough of a bop but they both just feel like Funk Wav Sounds II instead of launching normani...

I agree they are both disappointing really and it seems a bit of a half-hearted release. Definitely does seem like they could have been for Funk Waves Vol.2 which looks like it has been scrapped and Normani's label have probably bought the full rights to the tracks especially with Calvin's name so high again at the moment.

It does make me wonder if Calvin's recent releases will be part of an album, or just random singles.

(he can leave Nuh Ready Nuh Ready off it though :P )

Both are alright and I hear "Funk Wav Bounces" in neither of them!? Just kind of on trend and generic sounding.

Feels very Tinashe on first listen, Checklist at least

Funny that these aren’t *dance* as such which I think everyone was expecting from Calvin, between this and the Benny Blanco collab it looks as if he’s becoming an even more well rounded artist. I don’t think either of these are anything like Funk Wav Bounces though? Slow Down is a tuneee really loving the /drop/

Oooh Camila who? Coming for that crown.

Srsly tho she sounds really good and this is a strong collab for her even if they're mitigating the risk by having her as the lead artist rather than Calvin. I concur with others Slow Down is the standout here.

Checklist appears to be doing better (though it could be simply because it is track 1) but neither are exactly doing well either, eek. Early days I know but you'd think Calvin would push it into the iTunes top 100/Spotify top 200 at least.
Slow Down is really growing on me, her voice in songs really creeps up on you!

Checklist totally underperformed didn’t it?

It deserved to go top 40 at least!
