The report is suggesting she's left/leaving due to uncertainty with the episode cut and subsequent time jump. This is just tabloid speculation for now.

 

Agreed that I'm not a fan of the storyline Hannah currently has though however it would be very interesting to explore the backstory of how she and Robbie found each other as they were not on the show together at all previously.

Expected tbh, I definitely see Dave going too now as there will be not a single tie to the show. I wonder if they’ll change some plans to write characters out now, so many are leaving before that :lol: I do think it’s a bit shit of them to write out all those characters and supposedly have a refresh then cast for example Jeremy Sheffield again as Patrick’s twin :lol: Like they won’t give underused characters a chance but they will cook up a preposterous long lost twin storyline to get a big name back and cast a Loose Women star as his mum (as wonderfully camp as Martha is).

Martha is set to be a serial killer. This is after the time jump as one of the first big storylines, I’m assuming she will have a hand in some of the 20 exits rather than anything more or there’d be nobody left :lol:

Leah is leaving. Though given her age I'd imagine the time jump would mean she'd be about to start university so it can be explained away

I can see that just being a random off screen departure, I can see the time jump potentially being a bit like Neighbours when it came back and they just in passing mention missing characters or where they went, or actually what was good with Neighbours was they kind of had some mystery type things where they dropped little crumbs of why someone was missing then it came out later, so it was kind of an incentive to keep watching. Obviously it’s different when it’s a returning show with a time added on vs an immediate time jump, but Neighbours showed the idea is a really good way to keep things fresh. Especially as they can’t have every departure on screen before the jump, if it’s one linked to a big family unit it might be good to have had something happen in the time between what we’ve seen and when the time skip picks up, and it’s a mystery type thing that eventually comes out.

 

Like imagine Diane has left the family, had a breakdown, or died or something in the jump, they don’t really mention it, but you can tell somethings wrong and she isn’t there, and Tony snaps and it comes out and there’s a flashback or something, that would be a really clever way of dealing with the deperatures as well I think.
