Isabelle Smith is very possibly the best actress in all of soap right now, what an absolute star

Agreed, she's going from strength to strength each time she appears; the range of emotions in today's episode being a prime example of that

  • I think as well when there’s so few episodes, every other episode being Jez either killing someone or threatening to kill someone or locking them up leaves basically the whole cast coming up short wit

  • The way the show would be greatly improved if Ste did die but CHRIST let Leela breathe Why was Ste even there chasing after his son’s barely legal boyfriend when his niece had just died that day, hor

  • Yeah I gave up not long after the anniversary, the Ste and Dillon utter rubbish is one of the worst things that’s ever been put to the screens on a soap and it seems to be all that’s going on as that’

Leela’s baby is Abe’s isn’t it

Two paternity secrets in one family within a couple of months

Given the way Robbie is shoved into everything it will probably be his baby
Returns confirmed for

Myra and Marlena "Nana" McQueen for Christmas/Theresa's exit. The latter is a surprising "return" considering she's been featured in the credits all year but I couldn't tell you the last time I saw Nana at all (certainly not since I started watching again in January)

It was January Nana McQueen last appeared around the crash, same as Myra, she was in it when Mercedes was in hospital for the crash and then just vanished, didn’t appear, wasn’t mentioned, then like 3 or 4 months later they just casually mentioned she was in Spain

I thought Myra left with Goldie to go on that cruise Goldie won?

Oops don't remember Nana appearing at all but would make sense if she did appear during the crash aftermath

Yeah that was after the crash saga, to facilitate Chelsee’s maternity leave, whilst Nana just disappeared around all that, as far as I remember it wasn’t shown or even mentioned for a good few months
Today's episode still isn't online. The cliffhanger yesterday better be worth that wait because it looks like we're heading for a climax on Ste's mental health story

On 23rd December, 6 episodes will be released onto streaming all at once to cover the Festive period.

If you watch at E4 pace then the schedule is as follows:

23rd December - 7pm

24th December - 7pm & 7:30pm

30th December - 7pm

31st December - 7pm

1st January - 7pm

Very happy to see them not drag out a Mercedes/Freddie affair story and instead get Grace to cotton on to it before it even begins, will make for an interesting dynamic now for a while. I've really enjoyed Grace and Mercedes' friendship and it'll be a shame to see it strained again but of course interesting viewing is ahead.

Literally couldn't give two shits about Robbie now, there's just no emotion whatsoever (maybe that's the point?) and it's coming across as tired. Similarly with Warren we really don't need a "hard man" in soap anymore.

I agree I’m so fed up of Robbie pushed into most storylines, Warren was a spent character so it should have been refreshing to see him go but we’ve just got Robbie doing the same thing now.

I hate the pacing of this, it’s all about to peak, Cleo on her way to the wedding, and then they feel the need to cut to Jack making salmon?! I think the problem with the 3 episode weeks is they try to stretch out things that could be one or two episodes like this wedding, and make it go over the 3 and drag it out a bit then they pad out the rest of the episodes with inconsequential shit like nobody forgiving Darren yet or “does Martha really have dementia”.

Tomorrow should be amazing though, this really needs to be the end of Abe.

Surely Joel will realise or something, given the other week when he thought he heard Cleo inside, or they’ll do tests and be able to kind of tell she was cooped up for a year or mistreated at least. They can surely all tell from one glance that she wasn’t in Bali

Knowing Hollyoaks atm they’ll just pause it for the whole Christmas period and we won’t hear anything else after tomorrow until New Year. I’m assuming Martha will try and say something like she’ll come across Abe in the village and say he’s the one who took the girl but they’ll all think she’s just a senile old lady and not believe it.
