The totally misguided ‘Get Into You’ - it was too big of a change too soon after the bubble gum pop and rightly failed and has not stood the test of time.

I didn't invest in the Dannii albums until recent years.

While i didn't purchase Get Into You, i listened online and there was nothing housed on this that was special.

Not actually listened to any of Dannii's albums in full. :ph34r: I'll try and give them all a quick spin!

 

I imagine we'll be seeing a Girl vs. Neon Nights finale.

The label had no idea what they were doing here. The dates of singles months and months apart was so weird.

 

 

For the Kylie fans on here give Dannii a listen !!!

By large, Dannii was unfortunate that some of her labels did not know how to handle and manage her correctly and as a result, everytime she managed to build up momentum it was lost quickly.

Get Into You is a bad album in most aspects but albums like Girl and Neon Nights should have sold far greater than they did.

Thankfully Neon Nights was successful but Girl is one of those albums that deserved far greater success.

I'd probably put Neon Nights above all of Kylie's albums, much as I'm a devout Kylie fan.

With Dannii, i cant truly call myself a fan but i enjoy some of the material she has offered and i have invested more time in her music in the last few years.

None of her albums come close to the Kylie albums i love but Girl and Neon Nights are better albums than Kiss Me Once, Kylie Christmas, Lets Get To It, KM94 and Body Language by Kylie.

'Get Into You' - I can't listen to it the whole way through.

I would also say that Kylie has never released an album as good as neon nights .

There isn't a dannii album I love but i enjoyed neon nights and girl.Get into you and love and kisses are awful but I voted get into you.

Girl is definitely up there with my fave Kylie albums - such an underrated pop gem :wub:

Club disco is the one I know least on the list.

I always thought of Club Disco as a cobbled together collection of odds and ends from over the years since Neon Nights especially for iTunes, in my mind Neon Nights is her final studio album to date.

Yep it was a hot mess of a release as AATW had banked on big success with Dannii following on from Neon Nights - I think they released it to get out of the contract and to try and claw some money back, it did get a physical release in Australia though.

Just listening to Club Disco now as I haven’t for a while - there are some great tracks on it aside from the singles...

I always wonder how ‘The Greatest Dancer’ would have performed if it had been the Children In Need song as originally intended (Instead Emma Bunton was drafted in with ‘Downtown’ which went Top 3 after Dannii signed up to the XF). It made the Top 40 in Australia and could have gone Top 10 here with CIN promo?

I think it would possibly have helped Dannii achieve a 10th Top 10 hit.

Love Fight is a very catchy song, one of her songs that could potentially have become a hit if released as a single.
