some of his early ones haven't aged too well but they're still bops, WLTO has held up the best out of his first few. Titanium will always remain a classic though, well above the rest. LOTS could have been a lot better given the Avicii influence but it's enjoyable enough for 3rd.

Sexy Chick & Titanium are both HUGE career highlights but I find myself going back to SC more often than not, probably only because of how overplayed Titanium was/still is. Lovers On The Sun was also great although if not for the drop (and I’ve heard the non Avicii demo :/) I’d greatly prefer Dangerous - the Robin Schulz remix is lush. The last three are kind of equal for me, When Love Takes Over was hailed as a huge dance anthem at the time but I don’t think it’s aged half as well as say Titanium, same kinda goes for the other two.

 

I’m surprised he’s *only* got 6 UK #1s tbh, I know the list of top 10s is much much bigger but even then I thought he had more success than that :P Just One Last Time robbed

If Lovers On The Sun still had as much airplay as Titanium (or just if Titanium wasn't so overplayed), it might have been different.

The top two are soooo good and Titanium still hits that spot for me. 'Lovers on the Sun' sadly is the one I come back to the least these days, I find it abit bland and dated now sadly. I only wish 'Dangerous' was the big Number 1 hit from the 'Listen' era.

I've got a soft spot for Club Can't Handle Me, as generic as it is. The majority of these have aged pretty badly, never liked Lovers on the Sun though.

Absolutely adore both of my top two still. "Gettin' Over You" feels very forgotten in comparison with virtually every other song from the 'One Love' era but I really like Fergie's feature on it. "Club Can't Handle Me" is Guetta at his most generic but I prefer it to the other two because (5) I've not heard since 2014 and (6) is so of its time/distasteful lyrically.

Yes it did, the OCC article on David Guetta's best sellers had Dangerous at #12 and Lovers on the Sun #16! Still higher than Gettin' Over You though!

Both LOTS and GOY were really fluke #1s, the other four were deserving of their position.

 

I recall GOY made it on very low sales and it was a close race too. B.o.B very nearly returned to #1 with 'Nothin On You' that week.

Good memory, yes GOY was #1 on 48.8k, the second lowest week for a #1 in 2010!

Good grief what an average list - safe to say his other top 10s have been of far better quality, anyway:

 

1. Sexy Chick [7] - don't even like it THAT much but it reminds me of good times that summer

2. Lovers On The Sun [6.5] - fairly good with the Avicii input & not really heard ever these days

3. Titanium [6] - have such a love/hate relationship with this, it IS a good song but it's SOOO overplayed, like seriously...

4. When Love Takes Over [6] - extremely overrated, and another one extremely overplayed

5. Club Can't Handle Me [5.5] - just fades into the background this, Little Bad Girl which was around a bit later does this sound much better

6. Gettin' Over You [3.5] - this is an absolute mess, a few sympathy points because again, I relate it to the time period

I would say 'Dangerous' is my favorite of his. In The Netherlands he has 44 top40 hits, including 6 number 2 hits, but no number 1s (yet).

When Love Takes Over is easily the best, such a soaring track that's easily his best :wub: Titanium is solid and I always like it more than I think but it's definitely suffered from overplay, like Dobbo said it is a good song for sure but I'd also be ok with never hearing it again tbh :lol:

 

The worst is definitely Lovers On The Sun, not a huge fan of Club Can't Handle Me or Sexy Bitch but they're ok for a bit of a throwback, especially if I'm drunk and someone plays it at a party etc., Gettin' Over You is just there.
