Id say Bazzi or Khalid are more Spotify-invented than Billie Eilish

 

Yep, Bazzi and Lauv are the best examples of this.

 

Billie does seem to have a lot of talent at least. WTPO is really quite special and given her age she’s able to market some really credible music to youngsters too.

Actually Lauv has a nice song with Julia Michels in all playlists, but too low so doint nothing

Of course Spotify won't promote their fave "we think these are popular" artists forever but I surely laughed at Lauv's album, it was even titled as "playlist".

Or maybe Spotify just promote the music that they think sounds the most marketable to the public that'll get the most streams... hence Lauv and Billie Eilish are getting promoted... because they make ACCESSIBLE pop music. It's not that deep :P

You raise a good point there, both Josh Jips and Leoni Jut have come from the same Spotify playlists - the artists themselves have literally zero or one followers, and looking at the 'discovered on' section for Josh Jips we see that the song was found on playlists called 'Dismayed Relieved', 'Disliked Embarrassed', 'Hateful Sad', 'Outraged Safe' and 'Numb Love'.

 

Looks like these aren't legit.
