Not really when it hasn’t played a song that has been number one for 2 weeks.

 

To say it’s the most popular song of the year is a bit of a reach though, and I’m not saying that shallow is either. Someone releasing a song about there ex will always do well.

Its 2018 nobody thought Gaga would ever get a #1 again let alone be #1 for two weeks.

who bitter about her not being number one because i'm not the song done better then I expected I expected the album to go number 1 but didn't think any song would. My annoyance is to do with radio station playing songs that all sound the same yet don't play a song what is an official number 1.

Just comes across abit bitter in my opinion, I mean if Leona got #1 for 2 weeks (I stan for her) I'd be over the moon because I thought the girl wouldn't be getting a hit again.

I wouldn't be bothered about another song getting airplay or being number one or saying well its about ex course be #1 just seems bitter?

Maybe am wrong but that is how it come across, Just celebrate the success and fact it clearly didn't need a few plays by capital or other stations to do well.

Shallow is literally #4 on UK Airplay.

 

Lack of airplay on Radio 1 and Capital isn't hurting it, the song's done incredibly well.

I'd only expect a low top 40 debut for her, it's been so long since she last released and I think she's been forgotten a bit by the general public.

I get what you mean, Just thought at first you was mad was being knocked off number one.

Or maybe you hated Ari, Which would of been fine there's many artists I dislike and don't think they deserve #1

But if an Artist does get #1 good on them whether dislike them or not.

Anyway sorry for saying about you being bitter, Just how it came across to me when first reading it.

I doubt Cheryl will get to #1, but I don't think anyone thought James Arthur would get to #1 in 2016 either. Stranger things have happened...

I cant see Cheryl making the Top 10 let alone Number 1.

The hype of her return will get the single slightly higher than normal.

It will more interesting to see how her album will perform.
