They should put Wham! at the top of Xmas playlists for once. AIWFCIY is one of those songs that if I was DJing in a bar or club near Xmas, I would refuse to play that song
They are...

As of now, Wham! is literally top of the Christmas Is Coming playlist. They're also #2 on Christmas Hits and #6 on Christmas Crackers.

You a Dj Hadji?

I know how to DJ and I also have mates in the DJ industry

Just a quick question. How much will the inclusion of video views off-set the drop in streams from ACR? I have a feeling there'll be more Christmas songs in the top 40/100 than people think, although not as many as last year.

Video streams are on ACR as well so it'll be just as cancelled out as the audio streams.

This time last year we had 24 in the official chart (the top 6 were reset and the rest were on ACR at this point)

Looks like the Christmas effect won't be as big this year although the midweek update is missing streaming so a few more may get in by the end of the week. Good to see Leona improving year-on-year anyhow.

Won't list them all again but we now have 25 Christmas songs in the chart update, including... Katy Perry's 'Cozy Little Christmas' (!), looks like the Sunday streams really pushed the tracks up, it may calm down a bit by Friday.
Is the reason Wizzard is doing so badly this year just because of playlists!? Ariana also nearly 30 places higher!

Wizzard aren't doing badly at all, they're #42 in today's mid update, Ariana is #37.

They're relatively low on Spotify because of playlists but good Apple Music streams are making up for it.

Yeh probably many many download versions combined too. Was at 24 this time last year!

ACR not having the assumed impact after all eh

This Week:

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (6)

Wham! - Last Christmas (14)

The Pogues feat Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York (18)

Band Aid - Do They Know It’s Christmas? (26)

Michael Bublé - It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (30)

Ariana Grande - Santa Tell Me (35)

Shakin’ Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone (36)

Brenda Lee - Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (39)

Leona Lewis - One More Sleep (42)

Elton John - Step Into Christmas (44)

Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday (45)

Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas (49)

Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody (57)

John & Yoko w/ The Plastic Ono Band - Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (58)

Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmastime (62)

Justin Bieber - Mistletoe (64)

Michael Bublé - Holly Jolly Christmas (82)

Sia - Santa’s Coming For Us (83)

Coldplay - Christmas Lights (84)

Andy Williams - It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (85)

Kelly Clarkson - Underneath The Tree (89)

Bing Crosby - White Christmas (93)

Bobby Helms - Jingle Bell Rock (96)

Boney M - Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord (100)

But it won't work as even more people will be using Spotify by that point
Just leave t as it is, it's fine for like 4 weeks when they are actually popular because everyone is in the spirit of the season!!

I quite like having all the Christmas songs return but I bet the record labels are annoyed that they won't be able to push new material into the chart in December so they'll probably force the OCC's hand into removing them all next year.
The biggest songs don't get affected though like Ava and Mark Ronson!

so that's 12 top 40 and 33 in the top 100 and that's still 2 weeks from the chart we're all waiting for! looks like my prediction of between 16-20 is likely.

this time last year we had 17 top 40 and 29 top 100 so ACR is very much doing its job at the top end.

The equivalent chart last year had 17 Xmas songs in the top 40, only 12 this time around.

Wow didn't realise Santas Cominng For Us by Sia was too 75?!

Would Mariah be no1 if she was on SCR?
