Not all chavs are bad though. Some people are just a bit chavvy, doesn't mean we should wipe them out.

You shouldn't deny someone the right to have children. Most women want kids at some point.

I am not talking about well behaved chavs though, I have no objection to anyone dressing up like a chav or whatever as far as I am concerned they can be chavs if they want so long as they do not resort to anti social behaviour, when someone gets an ASBO or is a repeat offender and always in trouble with the police or commits certain types of crime then I think he should be compulsarily removed of his ability to biologically father a child. Anyways I think we should change the topic in this thread as while this view is my view and I stand by it this mb is maybe not the best place to be talking about social cleansing

Most of the people with ASBOs wouldn't care if they were sterilised though, they just go for one night stands, in the end it benefits them because they usually don't care for the child but they have to pay child support <_<

I mean, Craig, you seem to forget the current political climate and the way our Political establishment operates... I would NOT put it past the establishment to send out National Service conscripts to Iraq or Afghanistan (or wherever else our American 'allies' choose to invade next...), as we are neck deep in sh!t in both these combat theatres... None of us are particularly fond of chavs, but surely none of us really welcome the possibility of naive 16/17 year old kids having their bits blown off in some fukkin' desert hellhole just to further the cause of a lying, corrupt Political establishment which is in thrall to the Yanks and the Multinational corporations.....

 

And, like I said, military training is absolutely no guarantee of good behaviour or civility - the Waffen SS were an incredibly disciplined group of soldiers, always followed orders... I dont think we need to go over the atrocities they committed. Young American men were sent out to Vietnam in the 60s - what did they learn..? How to kill, brutalise and be brutalised themselves, many of them going back home with serious psychological disorders or maimed, crippled, limbs amputated, etc unable to function in society.... The soldiers responsible for the current atrocities in Iraq (with particular reference to Abu Ghraib...) are hardly paragons that should be held up as being good examples either. And we should be bracing ourselves for yet MORE thousands of examples of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans being unable to function in society....

In those sort of situations and what was happening preceding it the police should be allowed to use tear gas, plastic bullets (live would be better) and water cannons

A lot of it is down to bad parenting, the mum is probably in her council flat knocking back special brew and injecting herself with something while her chav offspring is out being a pain in the arse

 

 

craigs got a vallied point about 'scum begetting scum' (my words not his). there IS a perpetual generation generating scum families as many people grow up to emulate their parent/s. kids from rough families tend to breed like rabbits and produce more scum families.

 

as for chavs..... there have ALWAYS been 'yobs', 'bovverboys', call em whatever, every generation has their youth culture out of which a minority give the rest a bad name.

Well it came across that way anyway considering you were saying anyone who doesn't go to Uni should do national service (and I agree with Grimly that that's a stupid idea as it'd teach chavs how to fire a gun properly :lol: ) but I know plenty of people who didn't go to Uni who might possibly be better off than what I'll be considering they've got well paid jobs already and could go onto something better in the future with their experience.. In terms of my solution I'm not sure but I think it's DEFINITELY the parents' fault but unfortunately it's too late because once they're 15/16 they're making their child is making their own decisions but it's unlikely they're going to learn what's right and what's wrong when no one has ever told them in the first place. -_-

It still works in other countries though so I don't see why it would not work here

 

Regardless of income people in certain countries had to do national service, Roman Abramovich did national service, the REAL Kimi Raikkonen had to take 2 years out of his racing career to spend time in the army, everyone from the dustman's son to a billionaires son has to do national service so if it is a success in other countries I see no reason why it would not work here, its a leveller, chav kids and millionaires kids mucking in together, there is as much likelyhood as a turkey saying it likes christmas than someone on a youth culture orientated board saying they agree with national service but like I said it is a success in other countries

The thing is Craig, around these parts most of the trouble is coming from kids aged from about 8 to 16 (and girls are just as bad as boys). National Service ain't going to do anything for that age group.

 

By the time the boys reach about 17/18 they are either in jail or too boozed or drugged up to cause much trouble. And most of the girls have at least one kid by age 16. :wacko:

Maybe the government should bring back borstal where chavs aged 8-16 are caged up and are given a tough regime similar to what you would get in the army
