Really? Easily one of the worst songs of 2018, especially those lyrics, and people are not really going crazy about it as it's been track #6 on HH for ages but doing nothing

Mariah still getting 50,000 streams a day :) Xmas is not over for everybody :D

The reason being it's currently still Christmas :P Also the MTV channels are still showing Xmas songs on 2/3 channels plus the chart IS actually being shown a few times this week, the last being on 2nd Jan so basically a countdown of Xmas songs right until the new chart on Friday!!

Perfect To Me isn't really memorable enough to be one of the worst songs of 2018 tbh, I think it falls into the category of minor chart hits that no one will remember in 12 months

Anne Marie's label has invested a lot of $$$ on her, so Im sure they'll buy some more tricks for Perefct to me to be a hit,

sure it will be #1 on all playlists even if no one streams it, be performed at the Brits etc

Is Saturday Nights a single?

Surprised that Post Malone is not dominating.

It's taken from his 'Suncity' EP which was released a few months back but it seems they are now pushing it as a single (instead of the (much better) title track which even did better initially <_< )

Hold my Girl was added to HH but always been pretty low

HH added Suncity a month ago and now they've added Saturday Nights, and pretty high too

Thought Hold My Girl, Baby & Grace would have been a lot higher after the Xmas clearing.

The chance is there for a big new release to take advantage of the January lul here - no1 only at 390k!

Yeh Paradise and Gods Plan two good examples this year. But specifically this week or next would be a good shout as they take time to establish themselves. Calvin should just release a newbie!!
January has been actually the busiest month in recent years as songs released in January are faves for Year end charts!

Yeah Ed SOY released just days after NYD 2017 proves the battlefield for major releases are now shifted from Q4 to Q1 in order for best placings in YEC and Q4 release are now facing disadvantages being overshadowed by holiday freeze with many streamed Christmas songs.

There's some truth in this but I doubt artists think much about the YEC much more setting up at Q3/4 album release with 3/4 releases from the beginning of the year!

Q3 definitely seems to be picking up with more mainstream artists releasing albums then after a string of singles in Q1 and 2. Q4 is very dominated still by the adult contemporary and legacy artists alongside the X Factor acts (though I imagine Simon Cowell/Syco will start changing tactics with their big acts not dominating the album charts like they used too). Little Mix were probably the biggest act that impact the singles market to release in Q4 this year.

They usually do that with a release in early October and then Xmas week!
