Listening now!

So far not great, IFYE is her worst opener and probably one of the most uninteresting songs she's done :(

Cruel Summer is awesome but the SS's overhyped this, its definitely not a HUGE smash hit

Omg can this interview with Stella end, yay they've made merch together but omg this is so dull 😂😂 at least we're not assigning characters from cats to her albums anymore 😂

The Middle 8 of The Man is incredible.

Would you like to worry about drinkin' and dollars?

And getting bitches and models?

And it’s so good if you're bad

And it's okay if you're mad

If I was out flashing my dollars I'd be a bitch not a baller

They'd paint me out to be bad

So, it's okay that I'm mad

I Think He Knows is a big fat NO. I understand why all the SS dragged it to the pits.

The Man though :o I hope its a single at point, might even prefer it to Cruel Summer!

I Forgot That You Existed - is a bop but I can see why ppl aren't liking this, def not album opener worthy haha.

It's Nice To Have A Friend - it's interesting, idk why i low-key find this black mirror-ish. It's cute but kinda feels interlude-ish ngl! Tho I am also glad it's not cringe-y af.

Cornelia Street - INCREDIBLE AHHHHH. This is so reminiscent of so many of her best songs and I LOVE LOVE LOVE <3

Soon You'll Get Better - christ I am in tears. ahhh <3 <3 I love DC's parts on the harmonies with Taylor and the lyrics omg

Daylight - It's really nice and def a gorgeous album closer! will I return to it loads tho, idk. I love it so much in the context of the album tho and it's a PERFECT closer

First listen AHHHHH

I Forgot You Existed - meh, I get what she's going for but it just doesn't work :(

Cruel Summer - LUSHHH, it's one of those effortless pop songs that does so much with so little

Lover - obviously stunning, it just keeps growing!!!

The Man - THE PRODUCTION OMG, love this *.* Soooo fierce

The Archer - I just can't just get into this past being nice, I should love it more but... idk I don't :( It's growing a little in the context of the album at least

I Think He Knows - this bops but it's a bit too "old Taylor" to have gone down really well, the chorus goes OFF tho *.*

Miss Americana - this is like if Halsey did 1989, I'm so here for it

Paper Rings - yeah..... no, it is stuck in my head though so I can imagine I'm gonna end up liking it

Cornelia Street - STUNNING, this is gonna lowkey be a fave I think

Death By A Thousand Cuts - I was kinda bored but the middle 8 slays, I can see this being forgettable filler when all's said and done

London Boy - "darling I fancy you" I CAN'T STOP CRINGING, the production is kinda cute but nah this is a pass

Soon You'll Get Better - vocallsssss, beautifully simple song and it's lovely to hear something like this from her again

False God - the production is nice I guess but I've forgotten about this already lmao

You Need To Calm Down - I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as people make out but it's NO WAY a single, that hits home so much more when you hear the likes of Cruel Summer and The Man and then this

Afterglow - nice, could be a grower

Me! - still love this idc, but like YNTCD why on EARTH did they release this when The Man and Cruel Summer were right there

It's Nice To Have A Friend - cute enough I guess

Daylight - nice again, feels like the exact right closer for this album!

Cruel Summer, The Man and Lover are the holy trinity  There's a few I know will grow too. The second half has a few forgettable tracks so it'll be interesting to see if they grow and stand out a bit more with further listens.

Ranking:

Lover

Cruel Summer (could easily overtake, THE MELODIES)

The Man

Soon You'll Get Better

ME! (as Sam said I think it's bc I know it so well and others will overtake)

I Think He Knows

Cornelia Street

Miss Americana

You Need To Calm Down

Afterglow

Daylight

The Archer

Death By A Thousand Cuts

It's Nice To Have A Friend

False God

I Forgot You Existed

Paper Rings

London Boy
