This album is incredible and easily my favourite of this year.

 

Lost Without You/Castles/You Mean The World To Me = the holy trinity of the album but that run of Blackout to Unconditional + Wishbone is :cry:

I like it too although I can see where some of the criticisms in the Guardian review comes from about it being a bit dull and safe, I think most of them will potentially grow on me in time but for now my favourites are Ultraviolet & Still Have You and the singles. I'm not keen on the ordering but I can sort that, it leaves too much of the slower material in the second half. Plus I'll add Waking Up and Maps to it as both are lovely.

Unfortunately the midweek information today indicates Freya will lose her Number 2 position to Lewis Capaldi by the end of the week.

Absolutely love this album. Such a strong debut and easily my favourite of the year so far.

#3 is not bad for her with nearly 15K, bit unlucky cos she wasn't far from Lewis

#3 is incredible given her compeititon, it would've been nice for her to cling to #2 but to be fair I'm glad she did so well!

And 'Castles' managed to climb back to its peak of #18 on Friday. Been a good modest hit for her.

 

 

Castles going Top 20 is good but i had thought it may have made it to Top 15 status.

Should bow out of the chart with 250k sales which is respectable.

I reckon we’re still a couple of months away from that as Castles is still climbing the charts

After initially thinking this would all grow on me, it totally hasn't. There are a few keepers still but I've ended up being disappointed by it.

And now 'Castles' has gone to ACR.

It may possibly recover once the initial ACR kicks in.

I am at the point now where i much prefer Castles to Lost Without You.

"Love Is Fire" B-listed on BBC Radio 2. Hopefully it'll do something over the next few weeks. I really like it!
