It's in the top 1 x

Glad to see none of the 'Kamikaze' tracks (or 'Killshot') making the top 20, 'River' should be up there but this era has been great from him.

Taste remains terrible, worst rap song of the year by miles. Wish Swish was the hit!

This Is Me not even top 20 :no:

so a song about same sex sexual experiences is more hated than someone who is okay with shouting out the f word?

Where’s jack

:lol: I don't like 'Girls' but no way is it worse than some of what's already come.

Wow we really got it right this year! I like ZEZE and Freaky Friday but the rest are all horrible.

I'm just praying Naked and 2002 are not top 10. :( Also like Freaky Friday.

On the other hand, I couldn't care less about the other 17 songs left. They're all awful.

I'm just praying Naked and 2002 are not top 10.

You what :w00t:

#20. Pharrell Williams & Camila Cabello - Sangria Wine [53 points]

Top 75 DNC (#84 peak)

Oh Pharrell. I mean he's not produced a good song since Paloma's bop Can't Rely On You nearly 5 years ago (and Sing by Ed is a low-key bop) but this year saw him at his worst by ruining so many albums that had potential (hi Sweetener x) + awful throwaway singles. However Sangria Wine was his worst offering of 2018. I was honestly so hyped for this at first as I'd heard really good things about it and I love Camila. And then I heard the song, the chorus is DIABOLICAL and one of the worst of the years, the production is awful, the vocals are meh and the lyrics are horrifyingly bad. This song was such an entire mess and is one of the worst songs I've endured of 2018. At least the public had taste for once and this missed the top 75 in all major markets *.* This honestly deserved higher than 20th here but oh well haha.

#19. DJ Khaled - No Brainer (feat. Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper & Quavo) [53 points]

4-{3}-3-7-8-11-12-12-15-47-57-70->12

After flopping hard with 'Top Off' (which was so awful and really should be here in its place but I guess most of you didn't hear it) he brought back the same posse from 'I'm the One' minus Lil Wayne to make... a vastly inferior 'I'm the One' version. Now I really liked that song but this isn't very good. The production is basic and fairly annoying with whatever vocal effect that is, and it's just a sub-standard rap song. Chance the Rapper's singing voice here is painful to listen to, Quavo is on autopilot and Bieber's verse is inessential too. Thankfully it fell off rather quickly once it left the top 15, and that's not just down to ACR - it did fall significantly on Spotify around then too and also had a short US chart run (by US chart run standards).

#18. Machine Gun Kelly - Rap Devil [53 points]

31-{15}-30-52->4

A terrible attempt at an Eminem takedown, which was probably orchestrated by the label to give him some more attention but it of course eventually backfired as his 'Binge' EP was a massive flop and Eminem came back with a much better diss. The lyrics in this song are rather weak and his autotune is annoying, well.. basically just listen to 'Killshot' for why this is so bad.

I actually really like this song but Sam hasn't heard this and she'd probably dislike it, so I'm saving her ears. :P It's one of the better afro bashment songs we've had chart recently, gotta love a Fetty Wap impression too. Of course this alongside its multiple plays on the chart show made it a target on Buzzjack, so here it is in the top 20.

#16. Rita Ora - Girls (feat. Cardi B, Bebe Rexha & Charli XCX) [61 points]

{22}-25-26-29-26-27-27-38-47-56->10

I enjoy Rita Ora, she's made some terrific pop songs, but this is just naff - even ignoring the controversy around its lyrics (I don't take that much of an issue with them though I get that some find them a bit iffy). Bebe's guest verse where she wails throughout really doesn't help either which drags the song down a fair bit, but it's just a fairly sub-standard pop song anyway. At least she managed to turn it around with 'Let You Love Me' soon afterwards.

Jason Derulo & David Guetta - Goodbye (feat. Nicki Minaj & Willy William)

Kanye West & Lil Pump - I Love It

Kodak Black - ZEZE (feat. Travis Scott & Offset)

Lil Dicky - Freaky Friday (feat. Chris Brown)

Lil Pump - Gucci Gang

Maroon 5 - Girls Like You (feat. Cardi B)

Mason Ramsey - Famous

Stefflon Don - Ding-A-Ling (feat. Skepta)

XXXTENTACION - changes

XXXTENTACION - SAD!

2002, Goodbye, I Love It, Girs Like You, and SAD are all low key bops (actually Girls Like You is still a banger if the most overplayed song since... well Despacito :lol:)

ZEZE is genuinely a good song though shame it’s here :/ Everything else is just pure trash though including that last set which is just 10/10 crap

Fine Girl is amazing :heart: definitely a song that'll give me fond memories of summer 18.

I genuinely prefer Girls to any of Ritas other recent hits oops (Lonely Together aside)

I only like 4 songs from that top 15 so generally good picks for the business end.

'Fine Girl' is one of the best of the afro bashment wave, humbug at it being the highest one on here xx 'Rap Devil' being higher than 'Killshot' tho *.*

I never actually listened to 'Sangria Wine' but don't really intend to based on the fact I've seen no one ever say anything positive about it. x

There aren't as many songs that I really like at the top end of this as there were last year so hooray for that ~ 'Yikes', 'Naked' and 'Gucci Gang' are the best songs remaining.

Girls shouldn't be anywhere near this chart but Buzzjack can't be trusted when it comes to this song x

Fine Girl was pretty terrible, very tacky and really quite tuneless. Deservedly high.

Rap Devil is polarizing and pointless but I don't see how it's worse than Sangria Wine and what hasn't made the worst 20 :rolleyes:

this chart seems to always turn into "how many people can we piss off because their faves are said to be worse than actual crap"

I like Rap Devil.

Fine Girl, Girls and No Brainer are okay.

Haven't heard Sangria Wine a lot, but from what I recall it does sound a bit catchy.

#15. Mason Ramsey - Famous [63 points]

Top 75 DNC (#100 peak)

Such a cringeworthy song made to quickly cash in on him being a meme for yodelling at Walmart, thankfully it didn't do too well but it still made both the UK and US charts. Country isn't a genre I like anyway but this stood out for the wrong reasons, not to mention it's about wanting to be famous... for loving you. No thanks.

#14. Kanye West - Yikes [66 points]

{10}-33-59->3

Well at least the title's fitting to describe Kanye's year in every sense of the word possible x From vocally supporting the orange twat to the slavery comments etc, this rly hasn't been a banner Kanye year. The same goes for his music, Yikes (and the entire Ye ep) is dreadful and tf didn't seem to make much impact outside of release week. I have absolutely no time of day for him and I'm always here for him doing well here. He has one more song to come later from his worst song of 2018 *.*

#13. Kodak Black - ZEZE (feat. Travis Scott & Offset) [72 points]

11-8-{7}-8-10-10-8-15-13-15->10

f***ing noise. Kodak Black is trash anyway and we have another awful Offset verse 'yay'. The production is dreadful and boring af and the lyrics/vocals are all utterly non-descript, horrible and dreadful. I wish this flopped, idek how this has become such a big hit ugh :( This also blocked quite a few acc good songs from the top 10 in the charts including Pink's wonderful version of A Million Dreams :( However the one place it deserved top 10 (here), it misses ffs. Up there with 2018's worst.

#12. James Arthur - Naked [76 points]

{11}-20-21-24-36-14-19-22-28-28-30-57-65->13

Thanks for putting that mental image in my head James. :mellow: Anyway, it's a very boring song with his whiny painful vocals, and a year on he's now got 2 more reasonably sized hits at the same time... yay. Can we please send him back to 2012? Or at least give him a good song to work with like 'Impossible', which yes I did like enough to chart at #1 (though would probably get nowhere near it if it was released now).

#11. Jason Derulo & David Guetta - Goodbye (feat. Nicki Minaj & Willy William) [87 points]

51-47-44-33-32-32-{26}-28-30-30-31-26-42-40-71->15

Messiest song of the year, it doesn't work on paper and definitely doesn't work for real either. Some songs just aren't meant to be sampled. His 'Colors' song was cringey too and should've also made the list (but thankfully wasn't a real hit). Shame it missed out on Top 10 here by just one point, as I do prefer the song that's at #10.

The top 10 will resume after Christmas and the #1 will be revealed before the new year, so get your predictions in now! :o

Pretty miserable selection of songs there. Famous was pretty pointless & forgotten about within a week so didn't even warrant "hating" in my book. Think I heard Yikes once & that was enough. ZEZE isn't terrible, rather extremely average & just background noise at best.

Naked & Goodbye again were songs that didn't require ever returning to.

Shame that top 10 still contains 4 songs I like. FEFE will walk this but I hope Girls Like You is up there as well.

Goodbye the worst Derulo did, Famous was crap, I haven't seen James Arthur naked so I wouldn't know, ZEZE and Yikes were all right.
Goodbye the worst Derulo did

Not when Wiggle Wiggle exists. (Never mind Trumpets, Swalla or It Girl)
