As long as Cher remains top 65, I don't mind who gets the number 1.

Lmao but since you’ve mentioned it, where is Dancing Queen on the latest update? Thaaaanks :)

Not top 40, other than that we can't help you I'm afraid!

(prob top 65 though)

She was top 65 on Monday's update so it isn't out of the realms of possibility.

Am still hanging around is remarkable

Err.... Ok

Am I the only person who thinks Nothing breaks Like A Heart could get #1 next week?

Dont think it would happen at this point. SBP still far ahead on sales and streaming. And then Post Malone Wow was a wildcard sort of.

if Mariah gets to #1, a 1-OUT is guaranteed

it's all on the hands of the occ now, all depends if they over or under-estimate her Thu streams, which can easily go either way

I've also noticed that Kworb Youtube updated, and Mariah has been doing very well in there, double than Ava for the last couple days

I think I count 30 Xmas songs in the top 40, the occ rules to prevent Xmas songs from charting have worked very well :D :D :D

:heehee:

The charts is crazy even before they changed all the rules you would only get maybe 10 Christmas songs in the charts

IT seems the harder they try to thwart them, the more determined their fans get!

I am curious to see where Baby is going to land after the Xmas songs disappear.

It is holding decent at 34 on youtube streams (globally but with a lot of latino songs ahead) - and gaining traction (over 40Mn views this month against 29Mn in November).

Hoping it can get some momentum on Spotify.

Yes same.... presumably it will rise into Top 20 in next week’s chart. The question is whether it will then get boosted into a similar position on Hot Hits UK or just left to fester.

when should Baby hit ACR?

boh with the current data, Ava has no competition, easy #1, Miley/Sunflower/Wow are no threat at all, they're doing half of what Ava is doing

only Ariana is close to her but still behind

so should be an easy #$1 for Ava next week unless Post-y explodes on Spotify

Small Twitter campaign to download MC

@MariahUkUpdates

Only 1,296 followers but it's for downloads so could make some difference

Does it not bother anyone else that the no.1 is in the hands of people guessing how many times songs are listened to?

My goodness, the Chart means nothing anymore.

It's slightly better in that it'll be a statistical extrapolation, but still, yes it doesn't make sense. Why they can't have the streaming week running from Thursday to Wednesday instead so there are never any estimations - or do the chart on a Saturday - is something I don't understand.

Do 'overall' figures get re-adjusted when Thursday streams are actually available or do the Thursday estimations forever make up to the overall sales counts?

Wasn't "Eastside" only number 1 thanks to an estimate? Such a piss poor number 1 as well.

I feel as though putting Christmas songs on ACR can only hold them back so much. Aside from the fact that streaming Christmas music in December becomes a more regular thing that people do, and that an aging Spotify userbase will slowly diverge from listening to current hits, I feel like about half of the current hits that would be in the chart otherwise are on ACR themselves, which levels the playing field a bit.

pretty sure Spotify could deliver their data at 1 minute after midnight if pressed

in a normal week, its easy to estimate Thursday streams for a regular track, cos there is a weekly pattern that songs follow

of course it can be off too if the song is suddenly added to playlists or moved up

and of course it doesn't include songs released on a Thu

what is hard to predict is non-regular songs in non-regular weeks, guess they'll use last year as template and see the Xmas-Boxing Day-27th pattern

but can be well off

Let's face it

Spotify is still all playlists

If there were not Xmas playlists etc then the songs wouldn't be played as much guaranteed!

Playlist of songs should be included in the charts.

People individual picking the tracks should be included only
