Do 'overall' figures get re-adjusted when Thursday streams are actually available or do the Thursday estimations forever make up to the overall sales counts?

Wasn't "Eastside" only number 1 thanks to an estimate? Such a piss poor number 1 as well.

The latter, I believe. Would be too much effort for the OCC to estimate and then later replace the estimated sales for the real sales I guess.

There's no way of really knowing if 'Eastside' would've been #1 if we had actual Thursday sales, it only led by just over 100 copies. The OCC don't just simply 'guess' the sales though, it's based on trends throughout the week, so I am willing to believe that their estimations are fairly accurate.

from the sales info I've seen the Thursday estimates remain part of the overall sales of a track / album.

I'd imagine the actual sales for a Thursday probably go to providing a more accurate sales pattern that the OCC use to estimate future sales trends.

I’m also not particularly looking forward to seeing the ‘chart of the year’ with songs like Shape Of You still cluttering the higher reaches.
As long as Cher remains top 65, I don't mind who gets the number 1.

I don't mind who gets the number 1, if Baby Shark gets a new peak. :P
