Another batch and another album track from either Troye or Y & Y... this batch is Years and Years who's title track from their second album kicks off the top 60, alongside Shawn Mendes' Lost in Japan. The Zedd remix of which is awful and this charted way before said remix came to light and was released. Lost in Japan peaked when the Shawn Mendes album was released, managing to peak in top 4 when I was stanning Mendes quite hardly at the time :P

5SOS make their first appearance on the chart with Valentine, the unsuccessful followup (official chart wise) to Youngblood. I've never really been of 5SOS, however Youngblood and Valentine have changed that and like their latest album a fair bit. Valentine managed a peak of Number 8 and is quite a way behind Youngblood here which is still to come.

Rounding out this set of 5 is The Weeknd and Not3s; the Weeknd's song from the Blank Panther movie; managing an Electro Chart peak of 3. The other song to chart from the Blank Panther move All the Stars is yet to chart. At 56 is Sit Back Down by Not3s... i'm not a massive urban fan, but I quite like Sit Back Down and managed a Number 2 peak in its second week on the Electro Chart.

A string of X Factor alumni and Bruno Mars/ Cardi B all crash out before the top 50 including the soul entrant from Little Mix in the top 125 with their collaboration with Cheat Codes. Also here is the first appearance of Liam Payne with Familiar and the only Niall Horan track with On the Loose. On the Loose I think was a big missed opportunity and really should'be been the next single after Slow Hands. However it made the top 10 and had a lengthy chart run on the Electro Chart.

Also here is Technicolour by George Shelley; I listened to this initally on a wimb thinking it would be some dreary acoustic song... however its the polar opposite and quite the bop. It spent 2 weeks at Number 2 and makes it all the way to 54th of the year. Bruno Mars also makes an appearance here with his Remix of Finesse with Cardi B; It spent a week at the top and I guess for a number 1 didn't have a huge impact, however does nearly make the top 50.

Kicking off the top 50 is the comeback single from James Bay; Wild Love. Bay's return on the official charts seems to underperform, however both Wild Love and second single Lemonade I thought we're great and something a bit different to what he'd pumped out previously (also his new look was weirdly hot). Wild Love had 3 weeks in the top 10, however stacked up a massive 15 weeks on the chart, in Bay terms Wild Love is behind Lemonade which peaked at Number 2.

Also here is If You're Over Me by Years and Years, personally of the 3 singles from Palo Santo, its for me the least catchy and far from the best, however oddly performed the best officially. Its still catchy, however the other 2 singles (and also alot of the album) are better. Also gaining entry to the top 50 is long running hit Ocean by Martin Garrix and Khalid, which after several weeks, it finally hit a top 10 peak at Number 7 before descending back down the chart.

Round out this section is Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper with Shallow and Au/Ra & CamelPhat with Panic Room; the former is still charting and whilst I haven't seen A Star is Born, I do think this is a good song. Panic Room had just 1 week in the top 10, however 10 weeks between 11-20 to really stack up the chart points. CamelPhat are on really have been on top form off late with Cola, Panic Room and Breathe all being BOPS :cheer:

These 5 songs are all out before the Electro Top 40 of the year and Ariana Grande is in a Liam Payne sandwich. At 45 is the Fifty Shade Collab by Liam and Rita which made it to Number 2 of the Electro Chart, Liam's collab with Lennon Stella and Jonas Blue is also here at 43; i'm actually surprised it has managed to rack up as many points as it has as I don't like is as much as some of the song around it, however it managed a fair few weeks on the chart. At 44 is breathin' by Ariana Grande; its her highest placed solo song from her Sweetener era, however still has 1 song left (her collaboration with Troye Sivan).

At 42 is Too Good to Be True which is another Vamps Dance esque collaboration which had an impressive 20 weeks on the chart. I really like the song and is incredibly catchy. A shame that the Vamps can't seem to really land a hit anymore as the strategy used for All Night seems to not to be able to be replicated despite the album going to Number 1 (well with the help of different covers etc). George Ezra still has a further 3 songs yet to chart, however current single Hold My Girl has managed just 2 weeks in the top 10, however amassed 19 weeks on the chart after it enterred for 6 weeks when the album was released. Possibly not the most instant song, however I think the song grows and is catchy enough.

Kicking off the top 40 is the dance banger Body by Loud Luxury; it spent 2 weeks at its number 3 peak before falling down the chart. Its in fact 1 of 2 Loud Luxury songs to be in the EOY Top 40 with the follow up Love No More still yet to come. Also here is Flames by David Guetta and Sia; the highest song here featuring both artists (the only by Guetta) as Flames at 39. Despite being in the top 40, it feels slightly out of place as I haven't really returned to it much and if I was to list 40 songs of the year, it probably wouldn't feature; it did however have a few weeks within the top 10.

At 38 is Youth by Shawn Mendes and Khalid; it spent 2 weeks at Number 1 and I think is one of the best tracks on Shawn Mendes' album and a massive missed opportunity. I mean a Zeed remix of Lost in Japan over this? Its the 2nd highest Shawn Mendes track with In My Blood also making it into the top 40. At 37 is the title track from Troye Sivan's album Bloom; this song has grown on me so much throughout the year and its head an extremely healthy chart run despite its Number 6 peak. It re-enterred the Electro Chart on 2 occasions and closed up a massive 21 weeks.

Lastly is the Number 1 from Alesso ft Conor Maynard; a surprise hit in many respects, however such a bop! Its amassed 16 weeks on the chart and is still currently charting, spending the last month between 31 and 40.

Out before the top 30 is Rise by Jonas Blue and all the Jacks - this seems to get some BJ Hate, but its catchy enough and better than a fair few supposed brilliant songs. 34 is the first out of 2 entrants by New Hope Club; trying to follow in the Vamps footsteps, however a few of their songs recently have been fairly good and Medicine is still to come. At 33 is Eastside which has spent a shedload of weeks on the chart, however has only peaked at 10. Its a song I keep coming back to and have stuck in my head and is still on the charts.

At 32 is Side Effects by Chainsmokers which spent a total of 2 weeks at the top. I haven't really liked any of the Chainsmokers output barring this over the last few years. It spent 13 weeks on the chart and 5 weeks in the top 2, however feel relatively quickly after that. At 31 is Jax Jones and Mabel, to be honest its not the strongest release, however seemed to stick around my chart for a while - I mean its alright, but its no Fine Line or Play.

Some bops here including Loud Luxury's follow-up to Body; Love No More which peaked twice at Number 4 and has so far amassed 15 weeks on the chart. Also here is One Kiss by Calvin and Dua which spent 2 weeks at Number 2. A tune for sure and spent 18 weeks on the Electro Chart. Kicking off the top 30 is the highest ranked Clean Bandit song; Solo which saw them debut in the top 5 with Demi Lavato. Its been the last Clean Bandit song I like really as Baby is a bit of an abortion and the album is kind off poor. Also here is Pink Lemonade by James Bay; loved this song when it was released and its a shame it did nothing officially.

A couple of numbers 1's missing out on the top 20 here; despite 3 weeks at the top Ghost Voices by Virtual Self comes in at 24; I think despite 3 weeks at the top, it didn't spend a huge amount of time in the top 10 and therefore isn't any higher. Also here is All the Stars by Kendrick and SZA, who had a hefty drop 01-09 after hitting the top spot, however it climbed back into the top 10 and amassed 16 weeks on the chart.

Also here is Sanctify by Years and Years which peaked at Number 2 and Medicine by New Hope Club which also peaked at Number 2 and spent a massive 17 weeks on the chart. Rounding out this set of 5 is M-22 bop First Time which although only peaked at 7, it spent a huge amount of the time in the top 20.

As for your other songs from #30-21: I like all of them, except for "Medicine", which I haven't heard yet.

Also, "One Kiss" and "Solo" have a shot at being my best song of 2018 in my year-end list.

Kicking off the top 20 is Shawn Mendes' In My Blood - to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be so high, but I think it stuck with me for a fair few months in the run up to the release of his album. The album as it turned out was a massive missed opportunity; really good, however just marketed really badly. Also out here are 2 Sigala tracks; one an album track with the Vamps which spent a week at the top and 2 places above it is the collaboration with Paloma Faith which peaked at Number 3 and spent 18 weeks in the Electro Chart.

Also in this batch is the last single by Rita Ora; again am surprised it managed to get this high, however it spent a huge amount of time in the top 10 in order to make such an impact. And at 16 is My My My! by Troye Sivan; it spent 4 weeks at the top of the chart and 19 weeks on the chart, it spend a lot of time between 31-40 and I think in the end stops it from being in my top 10 EOY.

Next Dua Lipa is ion a Troye Sivan sandwich as IDGAF separates his collaboration with Charli XCX and an album track, both of which went to Number 1. IDGAF got to number 2 in the Electro Chart and spent 18 weeks on the chart; it was a follow-up to New Rules and to be honest I don't remember liking it as much as a Number 14 entrant would suggest; but it wracked up the weeks in the top 10 and is here.

At 15 is 1999; it spent 9 weeks in the top 3 including 4 weeks at the top in order to get this high and is very much still charting. An instant BOP with a video to match and I've no doubt had it been released earlier in the year then it probably would be top 5. At 13 is another Troye track and one from his album Bloom; it spent 3 weeks at the top and again is still charting, so would probably be much higher if released earlier... And yes I am a Troye loon :D

Missing out just before the top 10 is the highest placed Sigala song... and its an album track featuring HRVY and Nina Nesbitt, not usually artists you think off when you'd associate with great songs. However Somebody I found to be extremely catchy and spent 9 weeks in the top 10 and is still currently charting. I doubt this will become the next Sigala single as I'm guessing things will move on to new music that isn't on the album, but its a bop nonetheless.

And at 11 is fierce Drag Queen Blair St. Clair who after a frustrating early exit from the show against the Vixen after bearing her soul, Blair released this absolute tune which spent 3 weeks at the top. Extremely catchy and an absolute bop, it went on to spent 16 weeks in total in the top 40 before exiting. Hopefully Blair appears on All Stars at some point as she was great on the show.

Kicking off the top 10 is Howl by Years & Years which is an album track which seemed to really strike a chord with me. The top 10 are (points wise) a fair way ahead of the rest of the pack, with 10 having more than a 30pt lead over Number 11. Howl managed to get to the top spot and spent 2 weeks there and a total of 8 weeks in the top 10. Its the first of two Years & Years tracks within the top 10, the other being 3rd single from Palo Santo All For You.

At 9 are Mabel and Not3s who managed 3 weeks at the top near the start of the year. Wasn't a massive fan of Finders Keepers, however loved Fine Line. It dominated my chart for quite a number of weeks and in total spent 19 weeks on the chart. And at 8 is the recent BOP by MK, Jonas Blue and Becky Hill which spent a massive 12 weeks in the top 2, two of which at the top and is still currently charting. After a few weeks of peaking at 3 and then dropping, it finally rose to the top of the chart and was one of my songs of the autumn; its a shame it never got the top 10 peak officially it deserved, however it was good to see it go top 15 at least.
