07 = Camila Cabello // She Loves Control = 538pts

Chart Run (10-09-11-10-07-11-03-02-01-01-01-04-08-10-15-23-26-30-33-36)

Peak = 1 (3 Weeks @ Number 1)

06 = The Vamps // Just My Type = 550pts

Chart Run (05-06-02-04-06-06-03-01-02-02-05-08-15-18-21-24-30-33-38)

Peak = 1 (1 Week @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 19 Weeks

At 7 is possibly the biggest missed opportunity for a massive single is She Loves Control by Camila Cabello. Camila decided not to push this as a single despite it going top 50 on Spotify and hanging around highly on Spotify for a fair while. Instead she pushed a string of crap songs which barely impacted the chart. She Loves Control is an absolute tiune and spent 3 weeks at the top of the Electro Chart and spent a massive 20 weeks in total in the chart.

And missing out on a space in the top 5 is Just My Type by The Vamps; it spent just 1 week at the top, however 12 weeks within the top 10. Just My Type was the last single to be released from their Night and Day album and was massively catchy; its a shame they can't seem to land another hit. Just My Type received radio 1 playlisting, however due to lack of streaming it failed to dent the chart at all... which is a shame as I think its one of their best songs to date.

05 = George Ezra // Paradise = 552pts

04 = George Ezra // Shotgun = 567pts

Chart Run (22-15-14-22-18-09-08-03-04-02-02-02-04-10-14-17-19-22-26-29-36-38-40)

Peak = 2

Weeks on Chart = 23 Weeks

The top 5 kicks off with an Ezra double bill as despite Paradise and Shotgun only getting number 2 peaks, both spent over 20 weeks on the Electro Chart. Paradise was a bit of an odd one as I wasn't overly keen to start with, however it slowly chipped away at me and I got into it more and more. I'm glad after Don't Matter Now basically flopping that George went on to have success with Paradise and then also Shotgun and the album. Shotgun is a great summer track... and whilst it is back in the top 10 now (officially), I think that since I had a few months away from the song that the fact its still doing well is more amusing than frustrating. Shotgun spent 3 weeks at number 2 and racked up a massive 23 weeks on the charts.

03 = Years & Years // All for You = 633pts

Chart Run (01-01-03-04-07-06-08-06-08-12-08-10-02-05-08-13-15-19-25-32-35)

Peak = 1 (2 Weeks @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 21 Weeks

Taking the bronze medal for 2018 is All For You by Years and Years; the 3rd single from their 2nd album Palo Santo. All For You spent 2 weeks at Number 1, 14 weeks in the top 10 and a total of 21 weeks on the Electro Chart. The song officially didn't even reach the top 40; which in itself is criminal as its by far my fave from the album and I think had this been launched the album instead of Santify then it would've been another top 10 smash. In terms of the Electro chart, the top 3 are well in front of the rest of the pack, however Number 2 is near 30pts in front of 3.

02 = 5 Seconds of Summer // Youngblood = 659pts

Chart Run (06-02-02-02-03-03-01-01-01-04-03-07-08-09-11-16-19-22-24-26-32)

Peak = 1 (3 Weeks @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 21 Weeks

Taking the silver medal on the Electro Chart is Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer which spent 3 weeks at the top of the chart over the summer, 14 weeks in the top 10 and a full 21 weeks on the chart in total. I've never really been a 5SOS fan at all, however Youngblood is a tune and was in my head for weeks (as the chart kind of reflects). It was also good to see this be their biggest hit for some years officially too as it deserved some recognition. The song at Number 1 is 21pts clear of Number 2, however only spent 1 week at the top, but clocked up a massive 25 weeks on the chart.

01 = Troye Sivan ft Ariana Grande // Dance to This = 680pts

Chart Run (02-03-05-05-07-02-06-09-09-12-01-02-05-09-06-12-17-21-24-27-27-29-30-35-40)

Peak = 1 (1 Week @ Number 1)

Weeks on Chart = 25 Weeks

....And taking the top spot with just a single week at the top, however nearly half of the year on my chart is Troye and Ariana's Collaboration Dance to This which racked up 680pts throughout the year.. This had a lengthy run in the top 10 before it even hit the top spot and then remained on the chart for pretty much the rest of the year. This was the 3rd single to be released from Troye's album Bloom and its a shame that despite going top 10 on i-tunes it didn't do anything officially (well top 75). Troye's album Bloom is fantastic (IMO) and this for me never gets old... also is a bop to boot i'd definitely recommend it. So the EOY Electro Chart winner is Troye and Ariana!

Nice to see Paradise and Shotgun so high! They were definitely my favourite Ezra tracks this year.

Dance to This didn't really grab me but it is a nice song, decent pick for #1 :D

Great EOY, I've enjoyed following!
