Blur - Country House

The Beatles - Help!

Town Called Malice/Precious - The Jam

Ke$ha - We R Who We R

Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire

Meatloaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)

Oasis - The Importance Of Being Idle

Yazz and the Plastic Population - The Only Way Is Up

Written about the town of Woking,'Town Called Malice' was The Jam's third no.1. 'Country House' was part of the battle of britpop, released in the same week as 'Roll With It' by Oasis. Blur won that chart battle. Oasis are here as well with a different song.

B*Witched - To You I Belong

The Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin' Beats

Blu Cantrell featuring Sean Paul - Breathe

Limp Bizkit - Rollin'

Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight

Jennifer Rush - The Power Of Love

Razorlight - America

Storm Queen - Look Right Through (MK Remix)

'Block Rockin' Beats' was the second of the Chemical Brothers two no.1s. 'The Power Of Love' and 'Breathe' are both the second songs with those titles to reach no.1. Frankie Goes To Hollywood and The Prodigy are still to come but have they qualified?

Abba - The Name Of The Game

Hear'Say - The Way To Your Love

Jennifer Lopez - Get Right

Madonna - Who's That Girl

Route 94 featuring Jess Glynne - My Love

Barbara Streisand - Woman In Love

Tinie Tempah featuring Eric Turner - Written In The Stars

Abba and Madonna both make the first of many appearances. 'The Name Of The Game' was Abba's sixth no.1 while 'Who's That Girl' was Madonna's fifth.

If I'm not mistaken, 162 out of 401 singles are already out. It looks like 22 or 23 points were necessary to go through to the next round. I was guessing 18 or 19 points, but I've been proven wrong.

So, I'm thinking One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful (29 points), Justin Bieber - Sorry (26 points) and ZAYN - Pillowtalk (24 points), singles only nominated by me, are safe. :P

Oh no, that's my 17 to 15 pointers out all in a row :( All wonderful songs, for shame.

I also forgot The Buggles which is one of my all time favourites and I can't help it now FFS

"Woman In Love" was eliminated :(

My top 8 :

1. Bucks Fizz - The Land Of Make Believe (1982)

2. Dana - All Kinds Of Everything (1970)

3. Blondie - Sunday Girl (1979)

4. Geri Halliwell - Lift Me Up (1999)

5. New Seekers - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me (1974)

6. Bucks Fizz - My Camera Never Lies (1982)

7. Kylie Minogue - Tears On My Pillow (1990)

8. Renee and Renato - Save Your Love (1982)

Possibly I'm only the one voter for each song in this list and will glad to see them all in the next round.

Please, just show us the last singles eliminated. :P

Berlin - Take My Breath Away

Boney M - Rivers Of Babylon

Coldplay - Paradise

JLS - The Club Is Alive

Professor Green featuring Emeli Sande - Read All About It

Rudimental featuring Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night

Snap! - Rhythm Is A Dancer

'Rivers Of Babylon' is the 7th best selling single in the UK. After dropping from no.1 to no.20,it gained a new lease of life after DJs started playing the B side 'Brown Girl In The Ring' and it went back up to no.2. Looking at that list of best selling singles,I've just realised that no one voted for 'Barbie Girl' by Aqua. I thought that might be a bit of a Buzzjack fave.

The Beatles - She Loves You

Craig David - Fill Me In

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber - Despacito (Remix)

Paul Hardcastle - 19

Kylie Minogue - Slow

Steps - Stomp

Britney Spears - Oops!...I Did It Again

Sonique - It Feels So Good

Midge Ure - If I Was

Vengaboys - Boom,Boom,Boom,Boom!!

Ultravox were cruelly denied a no.1 with 'Vienna' by the novelty song 'Shaddap You Face' by Joe Dolce so this song topping the chart was a small consolation for Buzzjack's fourth favourite Midge. It wasn't his first no.1. He was the lead singer with Slik who had a no.1 with 'Forever And Ever' in 1975. Paul Hardcastle's '19' stands out here and there are several rather cheesy pop hits.

Tori Amos - Professional Widow (It's Got To Be Big)

Christina Aguilera featuring Redman - Dirrty

DJ Pied Piper and The Masters Of Ceromonies - Do You Really Like It?

Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull - On The Floor

Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl

Alvin Stardust - Jealous Mind

The Specials - Ghost Town

Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud

Diana Vickers - Once

'Ghost Town' got to no.1 at the same time as riots were occurring across the country and seemed to sum up the mood of many people. This is an eclectic list with something for everyone.

Basshunter and DJ Mental Theo's Bazzheadz - Now You're Gone

Brotherhood Of Man - Figaro

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations

Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball

Clean Bandit featuring Demi Lovato - Solo

Kajagoogoo - Too Shy

Little Mix - Wings

Kelly Marie - Feels Like I'm In Love

David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over

T Rex - Get It On

I'm gutted that 'Good Vibrations hasn't qualified. Elsewhere,we have some classic disco from Kelly Marie, glam rock from T Rex and the second appearance from Brotherhood Of Man.

The cut off point has been reached!

The songs with 23 points or more have all qualified for the semi-finals. There are 202 of them. Even if I used tie-breaks,I can't get it down to a round 200. Every voter's top 8 songs are through, even if no one else voted for them.

However, there were two people who voted four days after the closing date. I didn't want their efforts to be a complete waste of time so I have decided to give a wildcard to one song from each of their lists, the non qualifier with the highest amount of points if their points were added on. In the case of Jester,it's 'Paradise' by Coldplay which would have moved up from 19 points to 48. In the case of Spiceboy,it's 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)' by George Michael and Aretha Franklin which would have moved up from 13 points to 37.

There will therefore be 204 songs in the semi-finals with 51 in each one. I will make the draw and start the first semi-final early next week.

So many good songs gone right at the end

I know right! Now You're Gone, Wrecking Ball and When Love Takes Over all robbed :(

So sad to see my nomination Solo out with 22 points. I should have given it one point more. :(

Wrecking Ball just missing out all with my points :(

I lost 11 in this round too.
