They probably don't care that much, besides the song has to be outside the top 100 for it to be considered for a reset. It already has a top 20 peak and it wouldn't be challenging for top 10 anyway so there'd be little point in asking for a reset.

Except Ellie probably would have challenged especially next week with all the year end stuff dying down but the OCC was probably like “nope sorry, it’s a flop for you”

Which is why ACR really should apply at 15 weeks instead of 10 especially in this day and age of sleeper hits.

 

We've been rather lucky to have many of them avoid ACR at some stage before week 10, but still.

And “Baby Shark” set to peak at unlucky 13. Just to think without Xmas songs, this would have had a top 10 peak but at least it’ll repeak

OTOH, the "song" may itself have got a Christmas boost.

Great to see take that top 3 happy to see babyshark get a much higher new peak.

I believe the tracks are on ACR, but they've had enough of a sales boost to put them inside the top 40 despite that (and due to the lack of new releases about, there'll be quite a few songs on ACR in this week's top 40).

I use to love this time of the year usually a dance track comes out of nowhere and takes the first #1 of the year, those days are long go. cough Basshunter cough ;)

January is the worst month for the chart these days, at least in December you have the Christmas songs shaking the chart up but now it's just a load of old songs sticking around because there aren't many new releases in this or the previous month.

 

We could get FISHER 'Losing It' as the January dance hit this year though, nowhere near #1 but possibly top 40 in the coming weeks.

Play is another early year dance hit too! Hopefully another top 10 for Jax.

That too of course. Losing It just stands out for me as the kind of song you'd never expect to make the top 100 so that doing so this week is really great to see.
