oh my Ferrari were really unlucky yesterday at the qualy

should be an easy one for Hamilton?

crazy race

can it please rain at every race? :D

the top 6 were all amazing today, Max, Vettel, Kyviat, Stroll, Sanz and Albon

bit of bad luck for Mercedes and Lecvlerq too

did the two Haas hit each other again? I think I saw it but nothing was commented on the channel I was watching online

Rather than bad luck I’d call it three drivers making mistakes and the track punished them like it should

And yes the 2 Hass cars touched but I didn’t see who was at fault

Now THAT is what F1 used to be like.

Give me refuelling, the tyre war and we will be onto a f***ing winner. Nothing better than seeing a shattering end to merc dominance like being thoroughly dethroned at home

Throw in tracks that punish mistakes and break cars. No car park run offs but gravel traps and grass. The occasional wall like Canada rather than Tamburello and I’m right with you.

But Mercedes’ dominance is far from over. They crushed everything until WW2 and again in the ‘50s until you the Le Mans disaster

It’ll end when they walk away

You’re right. And that’s so sad for the sport

Also yes, I completely agree about the circuits. Street tracks, gravel, grass all make for excellent races. The tarmac run offs are there for “safety” but I’m not sure I agree so much. There’s nothing to slow down an out of control car. Yes the gravel and grass can flip a car, but both surfaces are much softer than concrete and help absorb impact.

I missed a part of the race, how did Stroll end up at #4??

Picked slicks at exactly the right moment and didn’t make any errors. Then lucked in to a safety car period.

Lead the race briefly as a result

And Kubica got a point.

That was one of the craziest races I've seen. Be a shame if Hockenheim wasn't on the calendar next year.

absolutely incredible race! my top 2 on podium plus kvyat having probably the weekend of his life with 3rd and a baby. as soon as i saw the rain and safety car laps i knew it was gonna be a good.n. that corner is such a joke tho. it really needs to be amended. there's literally no way out of it in the rain. and it's not just about the error of the drivers because so many drivers crashed out into it. really needs a change there. zero grip and very dangerous

you can just tell lew wasn't feeling it / was a bit worn down in general this weekend regardless of where he came. him coming out of the car after qual was hard to watch even as a non-fan. the fact that in his post-race interviews he wasn't even annoyed and just sorta dealt with it said a lot especially after that pit stop fiasco.

i feel so sorry for the pit crew guy who messed up the tyre tho. the front wing not being ready is totally understandable because it was damaged on the way to the pit so it was obviously not ready or prepared, but the tyre was a big schoolboy error. also i completely disagree with the 5 min time penalty for HAM. wtf??

just read that Raikonen and Giovinazzi got penalised so

Hamilton and Kubica are in the points

Alfa Romeo principal Frederic Vasseur has confirmed that the team will appeal the 30-second penalties which cost them points at the German GP.

Both Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi finished in the points after a chaotic race, but were both hit with 30-second time penalties after the stewards ruled that their clutch performance and torque delivery at the start was in breach of the regulations.

After Raikkonen and Giovinazzi finished P7 and 8 respectively, the demotions put Alfa out of the points completely, while Lewis Hamilton and Robert Kubica moved into the points.
