if it had been Magnussen or Norris instead of Leclerq, they would have been penalized instantly, the stewards are so biased it's not even funny

I'm originally from Spain so very biased here but it's a travesty how the tv coverage treats Sanz, they didn't show him even once today, despite being 5th all the time, even Sanz Senior complained after the race, it's ridiculous, no camera time, hardly any comments from the tv guys...Sanz is the best driver right now and he's being totally ignored I feel

I mean they're not gonna spend TV time on someone driving a lonely race to fifth are they? I agree with you though in that he's been one of the standout drivers on the grid this season. Certainly in the British media he's being generally overlooked because Norris is also impressing but on the other hand this can be seen as a positive. You generally only get attention either if you're winning races or a meme driver (Grosjean, Stroll etc.)

There is an official protest lodged by Racing Point against both Renault cars "pre-set lap distance-depent brake bias adjustement system.

With a 12 page dossier. Wtf. Think I’d be questioning firstly how they assembled this much evidence without breaking the rules regarding espionage unless it’s 12 pages of dross and speculation.

Reinforces my belief that force India are pure trash though. Yay for silver linings! Probably going to turn out like the 2006 tuned mass damper incident when certain competitors tried to replicate it, couldn’t, so cried to the FIA

An all right race this was, Ferrari messed up again with Vettel's slow start and Leclerc's first lap clash with Verstappen.

Formula 1 says it has an agreement in principle with the owners of the Miami Dolphins NFL stadium to hold a race in the Florida city from 2021.

It is the latest development in an attempt by F1's owners, US firm Liberty Media, to establish a race in Miami.

The proposal features a new track layout looping around the Dolphins' Hard Rock Stadium in central Miami.

Yay! Another race in the USA. And they've picked the flattest city in the country and put the circuit in a car park. Horrific memories of Vegas come flooding back.

Why oh why do this when America has stunning tracks like Watkins Glenn, Road America and Laguna Seca to offer? (I know, it's about money). Either spend the cash to make them Grade One and F1 compliant or do what COTA did and build it from scratch utilising these or other great tracks for inspiration.

Laguna Seca would be a dream for F1. Corkscrew corner  (sans horrifying memories of getting it wrong every single time on Gran Turismo).

We're really just waiting for the confimation of Latifi at Williams, Giovinazzi at Alfa, and Gasly and Kvyat at Alpha (ugh that sounds so wrong), aren't we?

Renault have been disqualified from the Japanese Grand Prix following a protest from Racing Point.
boooooooooooo stifling real innovation. how did force india come to know about this system, there's a question of espionage outstanding here tbh

Yes I can see your point in possibility of espionage there. Renault still have the right to appeal the outcome.

Renault won't be appealing their Japanese Grand Prix disqualification.

From what I can gather there's video feed footage of Ricciardo's car auto adjusting the brake bias without him doing anything. It's possible they spotted this in footage during the race I guess.

Despite no apparent significant advantage it's clearly a driver aid and therefore illegal though. Personally I'd like to see more of the electronic devices taken away as it reduces the challenge for the driver Pretty much all of them who have tried one have said at some point how much more fun and challenging the older F1 cars are.

When Marcus Ericsson joined Indycar he commented a few times on how much more difficult and challenging to drive the car was than F1 even with its lower cornering speeds. For me F1 needs to be the toughest test of driver skill in open wheel single seater racing. The tech is important but should not outweigh the demands on the driver. I hope 2021 rectifies this
