It will come to the surprise of absolutely no one that M.O top my chart, 'Bad Vibe' is such a fun, care free and infectious bop that displays what the girls can really do well. I was ecstatic that it became such a hit for them, it's a shame that they didn't really keep on top of the momentum releasing their follow up almost ten months later :( 'Wondering' is good but it's easy to see why it didn't do well for them despite Hot Hits promotion and Spotify support, I like it personally but it's one of their weaker songs. I feel like they should've pushed 'Feelings (Wifey)' much more which was much more chart friendly.

It was also undoubtedly the year of Ariana Grande as she came back in such a big way with 'No Tears Left To Cry', an emotive bop that we all needed. She also released three complete and utter bops but all four of her singles were so different from one another, allowing for all four of them to be hits within their own right. I'm so excited to see what she comes out with this year as she just seems to go from strength to strength.

Hayley Kiyoko was my favourite new star of this year with her LGBT friendly anthems. 'What I Need' truly is the hit that never was as she paired with Kehlani for one of the best videos of the year. I truly believe it could've become a decent sized hit had it of gotten the push it really deserved. 'Curious' was also another bop that we all deserved. Ciara came back and delivered a dance hit in 'Level Up' that feels much bigger than it was, and I'm hoping we will finally get a new album from her this year.

New artists in Ava Max and Mabel released some of my favourite songs of the year in 'Fine Line' and 'Sweet But Psycho', and I'm hopeful we will hear much more from them both next year! Four Of Diamonds isn't a name I expected to appear in my countdown but honestly 'Stupid Things' is a 10/10 bop and 'Name On It' and 'Blind' aren't too far behind them either, I'm surprised money is being spent on them as they seem to be unfortunately getting nowhere with it.

Further on down we have songs from new artists such as Ella Mai, RAYE, Stefflon Don and Madison Beer who were all completely slept on :( Well in the UK at least, Ella was thankfully appreciated in the US. Ella Mai also provided me with my favourite album of 2018, a smooth R&B debut to which I haven't heard since Tinashe's debut.

Flawless top 10, TASTE *.* Especially Sweet But Psycho, all the Ari and Fine Line <3

Bad Vibe is a decent choice of #1! Made my weekly Top 40, definitely on par with Who Do You Think Of if not better!

Nice to see Just Got Paid here as well, it still sounds really great and summer-y! Another great piece from him.

Great chart :D

Hey Jack, some great stuff here!

01 M.O (ft. Lotto Boyzz & Mr Eazi) - Bad Vibe

02 Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry Seems so odd this wasn't a No.1 when it sounds like one, was everywhere and that she's had three since then. I think this is my favourite song of hers to date, everything about it was so spot on and brilliant

04 Ciara - Level Up

05 Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho I'm SO glad this has been so huge, still hoping it will bring big pop songs back to the mainstream, she seems to be representing the pure pop movement all by herself at the moment still though, charts wise at least

08 Banx & Ranx (ft. Ella Eyre & Yxng Bane) - Answerphone
