Unperfect are a new four piece British girl group, consisting of Chloe, Siobhan, Soipan and Tiah. They've been put together by and are working with Brian Higgins/Xenomania - first single lands on Friday. I'm excited to hear this!

Interesting. Very lo-fi for Brian and Xenomania, certainly for a new girl group, yet it's charms reveal itself with repeated listens. It puts me in mind a little bit of something Sugababes would have done on 'One Touch' (looking specifically in the direction of 'Lush Life').

It's cute and I like the overall vibe but it's a bit boring. The white girl in the video is dishearteningly awkward. She's no Perrie Edwards.

I quite like the vibe of this, it's not a hit record but maybe that's not the intention for this release? The video sort of gives me the vibe that this is more of a "buzz" thing rather than a proper launching pad into the mainstream.

 

But yeah, #DNC.

Btw apparently they’re specifically going for a more rnb sound than pop so maybe this could be moved.

It's very mellow, not bad but doesn't excite either. Apparently they have already recorded 4 music videos though so have already got another 3 songs lined up to put out there at some point. Here's hoping for some bigger stuff soon.

So Annie Mac has just given this it's first play on Radio 1 tonight. Quite the seal of approval!

They've released their second single "Looking For A Hug" and their debut EP "Yeah, Why Not":

 

 

I do like the sort of laidback vibe they're going for but at the same time it's a bit hard to see what the goal here is. Apparently they've shot 7 (!) music videos that will be released over the next 18 months.

So now they're going for dubstep? Errr cool, they may have wanted to turn down the production a bit as I can barely hear their vocals.
