Which has sold a lot less than the singles from their last 2 albums and the single before that isn’t even gold. I didn’t say they haven’t had success, I said they are in decline which they are!!!

They are in decline as the material isnt as good as previous releases. I think if they release the right material they can easily reverse the decline.

To be fair, singles started selling a lot slower since the rules for paid streams were changed half way through the year - hence why none of the big Q4 hits were nominated for Brits / high on the end of year. Woman Like Me was actually their most consistent streaming hit so far!

They are performing at the brits

Which im sure will have a huge effect

I'm not necessarily denying that. I'm not even a huge LM fan, it's just there's always one or two (one in particular) posters who jump on any chance to cancel them.

They're underperforming somewhat in comparison to their previous album but they're not outright flopping. Woman Like Me and LM5 were still successful, so their decline is not as steep or terminal as some are suggesting.

This, pretty much. No act can sustain the same level of imperial phase forever. They're chugging along just fine - album sold well and single sold really well, and it's their biggest tour so far. It's just been a bit frustrating that momentum dipped with a 4 month gap between singles, but I'm sure things will pick up again when Think About Us starts peaking in a few weeks.

Dancing with a Stranger just got a pretty large boost, not far off selling double of #3

Could possibly make it to #2 officially this week if streaming picks up a little

Little Mix are doing fine.

If Woman Like Me was set to enter at this position I’d be worried.

But the track isn’t exactly new it’s been on the album and heard by many fans. The remix doesn’t add much to the track and the featured artists isn’t someone who would share LMs fan base either so that hasn’t helped them as much as it would have if it were someone like Ariana or Black Pink. That would’ve ensured a higher debut in my opinion.

There’s also no music video or promo for opening week.

I can see the track going top 20 eventually unsure of top ten but maybe a #15-18 peaking hit with a chart run like Gagas The Cure.

I do feel however that if the track doesn’t have Touch level success as a follow up then the album campaign for LM5 may well be shorter.

As a second single, ‘Little Me’ only peaked at #14 but the album campaign continued with Salute going Top 10 and doing much better as a third single but that was of course the download age rather than the streaming age.

Love Me Like You also missed the top 10 following a lead single that was even bigger than WLM then followed it up with Secret Love Song which did pretty well. Little Mix always seems to have that one underperformance mid-era and then follow it up with something that ends up smashing.

Because they’re not reaching the astronomical levels Glory Days reached, people automatically think that it raises red flags. It’s like what happened with Prism and Reputation. The era will be fine in the end, assuming there aren’t any other dodgy single choices.

I think because their last album was their biggest album to date people will have assumed this one would’ve been on that level.

With Salute the album it wasn’t really an underperformance because their first album wasn’t a huge success it was with with albums 3 and 4 that they really took off.

Wasn’t Love Me Like You their first single not to have a pre order as well? I imagine that may have been a factor in the performance I remember it came before the album but it stayed on the chart for a long while and very nearly went top ten too.

For me this is the worst single choices they’ve had from an album they got it pretty much spot on with the last album and choices for their other albums I could see why they chose what they did but with LM5 i think it’s been pretty poor which is a shame as it’s their second best album for me after Get Weird.

Let's not pretend that Prism didn't underperform.

Prism did ok, but Witness was a big big flop
