Dido had two gigantic albums, but I think of her as very much an early 00's thing. As far as the general public are concerned, she's not been heard of since 2004.

You can say the same about anyone who had one or two massive eras, it definitely doesn't make them a legend. Otherwise James Blunt, Duffy, David Gray etc. would all be legends!

Agreed - Dido's two 3m+ selling albums were very impressive but it's longevity that makes legends

I'd say Dido is quintessentially 00's rather than a legend. White Flag is a gem though.
