Some great songs but wow streaming has really messed that up hasn't it
Cheap thrills over 2 million!

How on Earth is 'Hair' third? Last I was aware it was on ~700k. Unless that figure for 'Breathe' is wrong.

What a list though. *.* So many absolute bangers. No hesitation in saying that 'Got 2 Luv U' is one of my favourite songs of all time.

They should do a point system to weigh the sales differently from different years when they do lists like these. For example, divide the sales that each song gets each year by the combined sales of the year-end top 100 (maybe only from the #3 - #100 positions so that anomalies like Candle In The Wind, Do They Know It's Christmas, Is This The Way To Amarillo, X Factor winner singles, etc. don't skew the results too much). And then add the numbers all back together.

If they did something like that then Breathe would be in the top 3 (maybe even #1, but Cheap Thrills and Rockabye were also hugely successful no matter how you measure them), and Hair and No Lie would be lower than Temperature and Get Busy which is where they should be in all honesty.

These lists are always painful because they just illustrate that they had no grip on streaming sales in 2016/17.

I'm quite shocked 'Hair' has managed at least another 100k since the Little Mix update in November! :o

'Breathe' shifting another 472k since 2003 too, pretty impressive!

'Temperature' still sounds fresh today. It felt a lot bigger than peaking at #11.

Interesting they’ve updated this just over 2 years on from the original article they posted. I didn’t include the sales figures at the time, but here is the 2016 list for comparison. Quite a jump for Hair! Rockabye had barely been out a month at the time.

1. Cheap Thrills (with Sia) [#2 in 2016]

2. Breathe (with Blu Cantrell) [#1 in 2003]

3. She Doesn't Mind [#2 in 2012]

4. What About Us (with The Saturdays) [#1 in 2013]

5. Dangerous Love (with Fuse ODG) [#3 in 2014]

6. Get Busy [#4 in 2003]

7. We Be Burnin' [#2 in 2005]

8. Do You Remember (with Jay Sean & Lil Jon) [#13 in 2009]

9. Got 2 Luv U (with Alexis Jordan) [#11 in 2011]

10. Temperature [#11 in 2006]

11. Hair (with Little Mix) [#11 in 2016]

12. Like Glue [#3 in 2003]

13. Baby Boy (with Beyoncé) [#2 in 2003]

14. Other Side Of Love [#7 in 2013]

15. I'm Still In Love With You (with Sasha) [#6 in 2004]

16. Rockabye (with Clean Bandit & Anne-Marie) [#1 in 2016]

17. Gimme The Light [#5 in 2003]

18. Summer Paradise (with Simple Plan) [#12 in 2012]

19. Ever Blazin' [#12 in 2005]

20. (When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me (with Keyshia Cole) [#31 in 2006]

No Lie being his highest as lead artist is...disappointing but not surprising. Very impressed with Breathe's total!
