Pink seems like she still loves what she does where as Britney doesn’t appear to have that spark in my opinion.

Plus Pink always does more promotion so you’re more aware of when she’s releasing and she can sell a live performance too.

Plus her best material always feels like it’s still to come. She got her biggest single in 2012, 6 albums in. She’s always the underdog. She’s also radio friendly and likeable and her appeal crosses over she doesn’t just appeal to one section of the market like Britney now does.

Rihanna had a similar start to Pink in terms of growing in success after her debut but Rihanna’s key to success is her versatility as she changes with each album and can feature on songs from artists of completely different genres.

It’s been 20 years since Rihanna released music.

Mom we’re waiting. :(

Jorja has a great voice but god her songs past 'Blue Lights' have been deathly boring.

Lmao at the H.E.R. version of 'Thursday' still only languishing at #87 after the BRITs performance :') possibly the most pointless of these type of remixes to date.

"Blue Lights" is the dullest of them all for me  Eugh. Like "The One" the most.

Because Pink established herself as an artists rather than an industry puppet. She evolved and became a great live entertainer too. So there is still stock in her new music.

Britney is an aging label puppet and younger people would rather go for a younger puppet they relate too.

Whoa, I totally expected TGS jumping into top 5 because This Is Me has done it when someone has basically just said the words on tv.

The song is 16 months old and 16 months in the spotlight, it isn't like this is people's first exposure to it.

The Greatest Showman album will benefit most, it will get picked up again in supermarkets and people who haven't listened to it for a while will stream the album again.

Giant selling X5 of Ariana, if it was in the beginning of the week he would be number 1 on the chart I think.

Any big releases tonight other than James Bay ft. Julia Michaels?

The Yungblud/Halsey video is releasing at 8pm tonight, so expect a boost for that.

That's coz Britney stopped to care for promotion since 2008.

She was still around with Femme Fatale era (2011)

Work Bitch was hit in some aspects and it's now one of hers signature '10 hits.

Scream & Shout was massive.

She has lost her success with Pretty Girls (deservedly) and with Glory era (2016) (undeservedly).

Ya I think the same plus I prefer giant aswell.

This is me also connects more with the audience lyrically,

I think Pink is just more commercially respected. Britney's music has always stayed in that "pop" realm which isn't always respected, but Pink has an edge to her where she can appeal to a Radio 1 and Radio 2 crowd which has allowed her to remain relevant in both younger and older age groups for a great amount of time. What About Us was a great example of her adapting to what is successful whilst keeping it classy and fundamentally Pink. Alternatively, she's able to drop a "Just Give Me A Reason", which is the type of song that will be big at any time because the UK in particular love a well performed piano ballad. So, I guess "vocal", not to shade Brit cos I love her, has to play into it too.

^That's correct. Pink started off as a kind of "anti" Britney Spears, which always felt like something that more people could get on board with as it gives them they impression they're liking something anti-mainstream when it still very much is. And now she's kind of an artist that is seen as "authentic". She's known as a respectable vocalist/performer and doesn't make anything remotely daring so it's VERY easy for Heart FM listeners to get on board.
