I heard she sold 50k in Soviet x

You haters and doubters will see. The power of the Bunton.

Poor Mel C though, bet she secretly hates the Bunton, Royal Albert Hall is like a proper venue that actual artists play.

Now, now don't be mean. Plenty of amazing artists who never touched the Albert Hall before on their own (including *coff coof* the Spice Girls themselves!) so lets not do that.

I heard China bought 300k of My Happy Place to grind up and use as road filler x
Royal Albert hall is a nice venue but I don’t want a sit down concert !
I got intel that Japan has now bought 500k copies of My Happy Place to sprinkle on ramen noodles and sell it as "Emma Bunton Presents: Put Baby In Me"x

Wasnt the whole Spiceworld movie about them playing the Royal Albert Hall and they evidently picked said venue for the film as it is iconic. They obviously ended up doing Spice up your life and Mama in there.

sammy, that is the plot of a fictional movie. In reality, they never performed there on their own concert. Those are very different things babe x

They did perform there though those 2 songs (I mean for filming of the film). You put plenty of artists never touch the Royal Albert Hall including the Spice Girls, which is factually untrue as they spent a whole day filming in there performing for the finale of their film. The film whose plot was their first live gig being there.

sammy, you are either choosing not to understand what I am saying here or you are actively ignoring it.

The fact is that the Spice Girls never performed at the Royal Albert Hall as a Spice Girls concert. They have performed there for the film (which the 'audience' included mostly paid extrasnot ticket holders) and once for the Prince's Trust at the Royal Variety show.

They never performed their own concert there. Nor have many more artists out there. You have to be invited to perform like Emma just did.

Emma probably got it of the back of the Spice tour and the release of her latest album. Let's be happy for her!

But that isn't what you said, you have gone from the Spice Girls never having touched the Royal Albert Hall to now never having performed a concert there.

I completely understand, you just moved the goal posts when I showed you what you said was incorrect.

Please read above, specially the bit that states 'on their own' which I boldened for you :P 'On their own' meaning their own concert/show. They obviously recorded two live tracks for the film there. They obviously stood on that stage to film the bits in Spice World the film where they have an argument. They obviously stood on that stage for the Prince's gala.

They never been invited to perform there by the venue on their own show, not even special events like Bunton is doing now. Apologies if 'on their own' wasnt clear enough, but I have not moved any goal posts :arrr:

Now can we just go back to appreciate that Emma fricking Bunton has been programmed on her own for a special solo concert? That's an amazing achievement. :yahoo: :w00t: :cheer:

I love how sammy is always bitterly realistic when it comes to the other girls to the point people are begging to ban him, but when it comes to Emma...

My legs do

Don’t sit behind me then.

I am not at the cinema .

Omg no way did she cover Don't Call Me Baby ... and managed to make it THAT lifeless?! And 2 Become 1 sounds dire omg, except for the insttumental.

I don’t really get the lifeless accusation (from others too)! The original obviously has a dancier instrumental, but the original vocal was pretty laidback too. Back when the My Happy Place album came out, I worked out that Emma’s verse only lasted 1 second longer than the original song’s verse, so it’s not exactly radically slowed down!

I personally enjoy the vibe of Emma’s cover, it’s really classy but sensual! To me it’s the most interesting and daring cover on there, other than I Wish I Could Have Loved You More.

Emma is an angel.

I just find it funny Mel C's forever trying to be this respected solo artist but it is Emma who has had a major label album and peaked at 11 this year and now playing the royal Albert Hall.
