Posted March 4, 20196 yr I thought this deserved his own topic as today marks the 25th anniversary of the start of the auditions of a girl group that became the Spice Girls. 3/5 auditioned on this day. Geri joined in a later round and Emma replaced Michelle Stephenson later in summer.

Yeah so Geri must have been in before Melanie C...? Wonder why that was never said before? Oh, that seems strange. I'd always got the impression that Victoria, Mel B & Melanie C auditioned on the same day & then all made it to the final stage & were chosen, alongside Geri who had blagged her way into a later stage of the audition! Maybe the management kept swapping girls in and out at the latter audition stages, before they finally settled on a line up they were happy with? As far as I'm aware, Vic/Mel B/Mel C/Geri & Michelle Stephenson were the ones to originally move into a house together, until Michelle left and they brought Emma in. Hmm!
